If we can keep this down to two goals conceded, I think everyone on here has to agree that ‘three at the back’ can be considered a success….

For Liverpool?

Wait, do these go to extra time or straight to penalties?

Only asking as it's 2-2 between QPR and Everton so if it stays that way and it goes to extra time, more fatigue for them...

Exactly. We're playing against a complete second/third string Liverpool, with 16 year old debutants, and *still* aren't competitive. It's shocking.

Sell your talisman, and this is what happens.

The players relied on Emi Buendia last season, and nobody we've brought in is capable of carrying and dragging the team through games like him.

We won the league last season because we had a player who was head and shoulders better than any other player in that league. It was essentially like Celtic when they had Henrik Larsson.

We're lost and the reason is obvious. Just like Barcelona are lost without Messi.

Really don't get the hype around Idah... not moved on from "hot prospect" in the last 3 years.

Runs around like a lost little boy and doesn't score goals.

I really think he'd have been better to go out on loan and get regular game time somewhere as he's nowhere near ready for the prem yet. Needs to grow and get regular game time in men's football.

On this showing, the entire Everton squad could do back to back ultra marathons on Friday and we'd still lose 3-0

Good, that'll mean a tired Everton will hit us for two or three goals then!!!!

This is just dire.  Defensive coaching and tactics isn't just bad, it's inept.  Farke and his coaches are way out of their depth.  Even Wycombe, yes bl00dy Wycombe are making a better fist of things at the Etihad than we didn't!

On the evidence tonight - they can rest the starting eleven and play the reserves and still whoop us

If our relegation is to be swift and painful, his name should be first on the team sheet!

Same here. Looks accomplished, but just not being given a chance here

Not going to argue with any of that. Looks way out of his depth at even this level, let alone Prem. Supposed to be strong, mobile and lethal, not seeing much evidence of that tonight.

Emi was clearly a cut above the Champ but he's not good enough to keep that squad in the Prem - he certainly wasn't the last time we went up.
