Ghost of Bond

Recommended Posts

The ghost of John Bond still looms large at Carrow Road.

In the most recent clashes, Watford are way ahead of Norwich in the tackles and aerial duels. Norwich are no good in these departments because numpty supporters still expect us to play in the image of John Bond who, as a player, could neither tackle nor head the ball. Just ask Ken Brown.

Unless there is a break in this "Norwich Way", then Norwich are never going to be competitive in the EPL and will go down every time.

Norwich love to make the same kind of mistakes each time - signing or developing these players who are five foot nothing, such as Cureton, Eadie, McVeigh and now Rupp, Gilmour, Pukki, Williams, etc. Where are the big beasts like at Palace? The boy Webber talks about this club making marginal gains over their competitors, but physicality is one area where they are clearly not making any gains over their rivals - in fact, they are big-time net-conceders in this department. Instead of having a BotSoccer 360 at Colney they should be having a Hockey Hub where players go in the front door as soft touches and come out the back door hard in the image of Trevor Hockey ready to cut the opposition players off at the knees.

As a matter of the utmost urgency, fans, the board, Webber and Farke all need to be transferred elsewhere. Not any of them have what it takes.

The only reason why some fans come on here saying they don't want to be in this league is because they know the John Bond style doesn't work at this level in this day and age.

Hoolahan wasn't selected to do the bulldozing work. And that is part of the problem.

Isn't that why we bought Normann?

Might be too little too late; it is only a loan as the Socialists have both eyes on the Championship next season; and the boy might also be no good coming from the Soviet league; and he didn't want to come initially and had to be sweet talked into it by Farke, who himself is no good anyway.
