But this whole Norwich way has been going on for years, I remember asking Duncan Forbes where had all the money gone after another player being sold and no replacements and he said "you tell me ?" for the younger ones who don't remember, Norwich were once in the Guiness book of records for selling the most players for over a Million pounds, back in the day when Ipswich were in the same league the biggest cheer of the day after watching another crap Norwich performance was the fact Ipswich had lost you could not make it up.

And another fact to show that I have been in Norwich for a long time I used to carry Kevin Keelans (who ? some will say ) cricket bags after he had played over pilling park, as young lads and on a poor council  estate that was the way to get some money if lucky to get some sweets.

I used to do the same  for John Toshack.

Again, if you need my help on that its not really worth a discussion.

Ever thought of taking up politics hoggy because they are good at not answering straightforward questions. Just remember you made a statement, i asked a question and you have not answered.

As a reminder you said that BV's post was ' littered with hilarious falsehoods ' .

The only factually correct statement from Vince is DF's record in the Premier League to the present date. As ever the rest of what he says is just a matter of his opinion. I have assumed that Vince is a wind up/parody account, designed to get a reaction, and it would seem on that score he is doing a good job.........

Not that you should need it, as you're not stupid, but since you're pretending to be:

1) Neil Adams better manager than Farke because he got a draw against Chelsea - Farke beat Manchester City

2) Farke is incapable of any other plan than Plan A - Farke has changed base formation 3 times in one game this season. That Vince, and possibly you, are blind to this isn't Farke's fault.

3) We are a national laughing stock - this was hugely disproven by the amount of reaction to the Talk Sport comments from all angles of the media, pundit and journalist world - as well as support from thousands of fans of different clubs online.

4) The Talk Sport comments being 'spot on'. - The entire footballing world completely disagreed and even the guy that said it basically admitted he only did it for a reaction and he was wrong.

5) Two players questioning Farkes tactics out of the team - He has absolutely no knowledge what the conversations behind the scenes were, this is pure conjecture. What I do know is, no one Farke has left out have gone on to better things, which is all the evidence needed.

An awful lot of personal conjecture in that hoggy rather along the lines of what you have accused BV of but i expected nothing less.

The only facts in your reply has been the reference to Man City but hey just remind me of our two more recent results against them and the change of base formation has been made after the game was well beyond us.

I shouldn't be disappointed in your inability to read and compare personal conjecture with reasonings based upon facts and actual supporting evidence (national laughing stock from BV backed up with nothing, my comparison is) - like I say, I shouldn't be disappointed all things considered.

Theoretically there is a parallel dimension where big Vince is not only right but also where he is both the Lord and Master of all he surveys and the font of all knowledge.

It's very unlike this dimension where he just gets called a Binner or a troll or both.

Still it passes for entertainment on a rainy Tuesday morning.

Thanks Big Vince.

Well there is that. BV is a troll account purposefully posting bullsh*t to get a reaction - he's an Ipswich fan who knows he's making things up for a laugh.

It's painful that some on here then go on to agree with him. Funny that the same people make sarcastic comments about the same poster in the Championship when things are going well though. 😂😂😂

The thing is; if you position yourself as being "against" a manager early on in their reign, you'll always end up being vindicated because they all get sacked in the end.

No proof whatsoever that BV is a Scum fan but hey you say so therefore it must be true. What he has posted in the past shows he has an in depth historical knowledge of what has gone on at Norwich City behind the scenes way beyond any passing interest that a Binner would have.

The irony of you mentioning sarcasm is not lost on me.

Dont some walk away / resign for bigger clubs rather than ALL be sacked?

Neil Adams?

Arsene Wenger ?

Roy Hodgeson ?

I'm sure there are others

You're quite right Greavsy. All being sacked is incorrect. I'm sure you know what I was getting at but I know you're a stickler for facts; it's not like you'd make up a load of hateful crap about people or anything.

I quite clearly should have said that an extremely high percentage of managers see their reign come to an end with them being sacked or resigning due to perceived poor performance or pressure from outside, such as the fans. In certain cases, a manager may resign in order to take up another, perceived, more lucrative position, some may retire and in a small number of cases, it could be that a contract has concluded and the manager may walk away without any ill-feeling or acrimony.

However, if you position yourself against a manager early, you'll - in all but a small percentage of cases - see yourself vindicated in the end because as a fan, you'll outlast all managers until the last one. They all go in the end.

Talk of sacking Farke right now is nonsensical but it’s fair to say he did not cover himself in glory last time we were up snd he needs to up his game now. A club like ours needs a coach to be worth a few points a season for us.

Oh you must mean the reference to Adams getting a draw with Chelsea but then again they must be in the sights of those looking to excuse a defeat something along the lines that they are Champions League winners when it is our turn to play them.

As you said his post was littered with falsehoods so what next ?

As soon as posters start to attack the poster instead of the post, then I know I have won the argument because they are not putting any counter argument to challenge what I've written. Game, set and match to Vince. End of.

For the avoidance of doubt, the so-called "Norwich Way" is actually the style of football that was originally introduced to this club by John Bond when he arrived here in 1973 with practically half the coaching and playing staff from Bournemouth.

Did you watch us play under Hughton? It was like watching paint dry.

It is not about how you play. It is about getting results. Hughton was smart enough to realise the club's limitations in that you cannot compete on quality at this level. Therefore, you have to find another way of being competitive. Under the Socialists, his 11th place finish the first season was a club record. Bassong was the stand out player so that demonstrated in which area of the park you needed to be strong in order to survive. He ended that season with a 3-2 win at Man City and a 4-0 win over WBA. Even when he was sacked the following season, they were not in the bottom three.

Mark my words, as long as Norwich fans, Farke, Webber and the Socialists continue to reject Hughton's methods, the club will never establish in the EPL, even more so with a self-funded model.

I'm happy with Farke. He's done very well so far. These first 4 games were always a shot to nothing (Did we shoot ?)

However, our lack of firepower in front of goal needs addressing. The pressure is now on Farke to deliver against Watford as it was for Arteta last week against us. Football is ruthless.

I'm expecting at the very least for us to score some goals else questions will have to be asked. For me Sargent to start - Pukki to come on now when we're two up in the last 15 minutes to get his confidence / goal instinct back -  currently he takes a touch too many with the half chances he gets in EPL and the chance is gone.

All are entitled to their opinion and this forum is the place to express it

...but Christ alive! There cant be genuine fans who actually think farke needs to go. Christ what more can the man do. The club have spent mega money in their terms, which only gets you a certain Ilk of player for DF to put out. The players may not be good enough. The way DF sets us up may be too open. And we may get relegated.

But, wouldn't you rather have farkeball then to sack him, get Roy hodgeson or alike in and have a version of hoofball or ten men behind the ball? Does anyone want to see that, even if it meant staying up, personally I wouldn't. Secondly, has DF and his methods not proved it works to get up here, and he deserves another shot , as well as it being good to watch (admittedly better when winning)

For those who want DF out, why? And who the fuzz do you think we could get in, who's as decent, will work within our means and promote youth and play good football and keep us up. Non existent.

I agree with your general sentiments - but it may that Farkeball for the EPL is also an unfinished work in progress. We need to stay in the EPL by whatever means for a season and then get better at Farkeball. Many of the goals against so far have been because we tried to play Farkeball but weren't good enough at it so far and got 'caught'. There is a time and a place to clear to row Z or go long.  I'd rather on occasion have an ugly 1 - 0 win than a 4 - 0 loss.

Mark my words, as long as Norwich fans, Farke, Webber and the Socialists continue to reject Hughton's methods, the club will never establish in the EPL, even more so with a self-funded model.

That 11th place finish was achieved - and this later proved to be a sign of things to come - despite gaining three fewer points than did Lambert in finishing 12th. And although there is a good chance one will play at least one team already on the beach towards the end of the season Hughton had the luck to find two, in West Brom and Man City.

It was a 3-0 win over West Brom, who were not so much on the beach as in the bar, with drink taken, as they say in court, having been on the beach and then at a nightclub, and who gifted us two goals, by way of their goalie missing his kick and allowing Holt to walk the ball in, followed by a splendid own-goal header at a corner.

Hughton then squandered* a transfer budget that was not only comfortably the largest in the club's history but also one of the three or four biggest net spends that summer of any club in Europe.

No, we weren't in the bottom three but our trajectory was inescapably down. We had lost four of the previous six and our performance against West Brom, after which he was sacked, exemplified just why the board acted. We conceded an earlyish goal and never ever looked like there was any urgency or plan from Hughton to get us back into the game. He would not attack for fear of conceding a second. The result? We lost.

And the board came to the inevitable conclusion, backed apparently by Hughton telling them he would not change his policy, that we would lose the last five if he stayed. Not least since in the reverse fixtures we had lost all five with a goal difference of 4/15. Adams outperformed Hughton by getting a draw at Chelsea.

*Don't take my word. Bowkett said just that.

Just to put back some doubt many people have told me it was the style of football that Archie Macaulay instilled when he replaced Tom Parker. Macaulay's 59ers outplayed and outpassed some of the best teams in the land.
