Seems the Racist Socialist anti-Capitalists at Channel 4 have injected Mr Bezos with a hefty ‘wad’

I have paid for Prime - not happy….

Get a grip. Also Amazon investing the cash into British Tennis too, so a win for socialism and capitalism coming together. 🥰

If you'd paid for prime for 1 tennis match and not all the other benefits then you'd have a point, as such, like Norwich you don't.

In as a qualifier, won the tournament. Never been done before, and she’s done it as her 2nd grand slam, having not dropped a single set. Girl’s got some serious talent.

Well that's a little cheer on an otherwise bleak day.

And it really couldn't have happened to a nicer young woman, may she continue on to a great career.

Also, I'm sure she'll she getting herself plenty more of that Tiffany jewellery out of the $2.5 million!

Possibly only someone of the stature of Joe Root can get anywhere near her in the voting, certainly no footballer. (For some reason my tablet refuses to allow Root, it changes it to Foot every time. Has Michael Foot taken over).

It’s an amazing achievement but I don’t know enough about tennis to know if she’s just super naturally talented or what? Just seems weird she’s blasted in from nowhere. She’s definitely an enigma, well done to her!

Absolutely mad a young lady who just a month and a bit ago was 361st in the world, having just got her A-level results, first stormed partway through Wimbledon and then took that experience to absolutely wipe the floor at the US open. That's no mean feat, she literally hasn't dropped a set even through 3 qualifiers. On the plus side, she'll never have to qualify for anything ever again!

There's no doubt she's very talented but like most talented athletes has been playing from a very young age. Between 18-19 she made the final of 5 ITF tournaments, winning 3. She's definitely elevated massively this year though with entry into the main tour as a wildcard at Nottingham. Will be interesting if she can maintain this level consistently, if she can we'll see her winning many more titles in the coming years

Well done Emma.

Unbelievably talented but clearly driven too.

In the womens game even the top 20 or so have an obvious weakness, Emma doesn't seem to.

what an achievement , it was a good final and her opponent played well for a while , but she was just too good for her in the end , it's so nice to have a top class tennis player to cheer on now.😊

The only downside I can see is that she will be expected to win every tournament she enters from now on.

That is a far cry from having to qualify for the US Open.

Her ability and mental strength shown so far, suggests that she has every chance of meeting the new level of expectation.

She has singlehandedly raised the profile of women’s tennis in this country to an unprecedented level.

The long term benefits should be enormous.

On the court she’s  a ruthless smiling  assassin with balls of steel. A dangerous but successful combination in any sport. Wish her good fortune, success and happiness in her life.👏👏
