Mr Apples 1,314 Posted August 30, 2021 I was lucky to see him at a festival in 2019...was 83 and still bouncing along the stage with a great set. A true maverick. 🇯🇲 ❤️ Apples
nevermind, neoliberalism has had it 159 Posted August 30, 2021 RIP Lee, you were the Salvadore Dali of Reaggae. without you and your experience as a sound engineer the Wailers and many others would have had no starting block for their careers. He will live on forever, his work was groundbreaking.
BigFish 1,975 Posted August 31, 2021 Mad as a box of frogs and probably a miracle that he lived such long life. That said a true genius who will be missed, not least by my son who considered his gig at the Waterfront his all time favourite.

Essjayess 307 Posted August 31, 2021 Probably the last of the true musical sound artists, pioneering dubs, reverbs, remixes and the like, his legacy is to be found in all genres of music in the past half century or more. Its been a sad 6-12 months for the entertainment world, with the last of the male Hollywood stars of the Golden era passing away in 103 yr old Kirk Douglas and likewise for the female stars of that era in 104 yr old Olivia De Haviland. Makes one realise how fast the 20th Century and its Movie and Musical greats has slipped by and consigned itself to the history books. RIP Lee Perry.
