He is obviously not clever enough to work out that he's not good enough to do the job. I watched him on Sky when Mourinho did a guest slot. He joined Instagram a few months ago and assuming it's him running the account rather than his management (it probably is him, because most of his photos are at home or with his kids) he does actually come across as quite a laid back, humourous bloke.
