That will only be true come the end of the season. To get closer to Man City we need to beat the teams that aren't Man City, Liverpool etc.

People are getting far too wound up by two games.

Well said. Some of the reactions to these games I’ve seen from fans on here and social media has given me the impression that they’re expecting us to qualify for Europe this season. I mean we don’t stand a chance of survival do we, because we’re a newly promoted side and have lost our opening two games to two of the strongest teams in the league, putting us 1 pt adrift of safety (0 if you don’t count the GD) with only 108 still left to play for?

he may want to Cash in the Family Silver ? Or he may want to Run the Club in Memory of his Aunt & Uncle who handed it to him ?

He may love his family but he'd probably get £100+ million if he sold when we were in the Premiership, so it would be have to be in the Trust as far as I can see.

Given the longevity of Delia's mum, probably wont be for another 20 years anyway! I don't understand why people get so hung up on it. ("Rich person leaves assets to close relative shocker" strangely mutates into nepotism).

Yes Badger i think that is the only way to be left in a trust

i Am not one  hung up or Jealous of Tom getting the club good for him and if it was Me i would see if i could run it for a little while and if not sell it and retire somewhere

He Well may turn out to be a Great Owner his Lack of Personal wealth would worry me if Self funding went wrong somewhere other than that i can see nothing Wrong

The same people bleating about Nepotism are probably the same pub bores who go on about “socialists” running the club.

Interestingly, don't Bournemouth have rich owners? Are they leaving us behind? 😉

We now find ourselves behind Watford, Leeds, Brentford, Palace, Brighton, Burnley to name a few and this has happened within the past 10 years and would have been unthinkable back then.

Weren’t we behind Bournemouth for quite a few seasons recently?
