The Trouble with Tzolis

Recommended Posts

If Canary fans think that the boy Tzolis is young, dumb and full of ...............then they had better think again!

The boy is smart and has surrounded himself with the best representatives in the business. He is clearly not going to move to any old club because those representatives have asked to see the CVs of all the Canary board members. Oh dear, we are in trouble. It would be bad enough just showing Delia's CV, but all of them?

Which ambitious player is going to join EPL one-season wonders?

It is just as well that those CVs do not tell the whole story - that Canary fans have also had their brains sterilised by those same board members; to the extent that they are frequently overheard in conversation to say that they only go to Tottingham to see the stadium, not to expect the team to win.

Fans. Board. Both mirror images of each other.

Is this your best, is it your worst. I honestly don't know?

All I can say is that this hits some form of peak. Top trolling!

Nah, he's not an Ipswich fan.

He is just like the anti-delia Pravda.

Crikey, there are some famous duo's around aren't there! Would you buy anything down the market from either of them?

Big Vince and (Big) Keith Scott.

I tell you what, Mr Chase would have gone ahead with that BK98 deal instead of listening to stupid, hypocritical supporters.

Listen to what the boy Webber is now saying - the money lost on that deal is now undermining the ability to nab the players who would come here in spite of the board.

If supporters at this club are so supportive of the fund-selfing model, then you would have thought they would have the good sense not to turn down good sponsorship money right on top of having lost £35 million to Covid 91.

The beauty of Mr Chase was that he knew you should never listen to stupid supporters and that is why he bounced them around. But boy, Norwich City certainly didn't get bounced around in those times.

Living in the past isn't healthy, boy. Enjoy what you've got now.

They got miserably relegated because they kept selling good players and not replacing them. Yeah, Chase was Ace 👍

Rubbish. Delia has sold many more good players than Chase. Why hasn't she been run out of town? Anything to do with gender and who you are? People forget the players Chase bought: Fleck, Townsend, Crook, Phelan, Bowen, Newsome, Linighan, Phillips, Newman, etc. These WERE the replacements. When Delia was left to her own devices, her replacements were Pape Diop and Raymond de Waard!

You are naming players he also sold. I don’t know why Delia is still around. But you are welcome to get better investment in for us. Otherwise, we are just going to have to get on with it!

That is the way the model worked: you sell, you cover your annual losses, you do the ground and the training centre, you buy new players. To be honest it hasn't changed much, except that Delia gets all that broadcast cash and yet still sells. Chase had to sell out of necessity as he did not get this money and average gates were around 14,000. So he really did work a miracle on a shoestring.

As for getting in better investment, well, we all know that Delia refuses to listen to any offers as she wants the club to pass down to the boy Tom and then to his children.

Chase would have had to do exactly the same if he was running the club now!

I hope they’ve wised up since that interview about Tom a few years ago.

Pape Diop? Since when did he play for us?

On loan in the late 90s, but not ‘that’ pape drop that played for Fulham.

And we, the poor downtrodden fans, are stuck with seasons in the PL, and promotions and trophies when not

wish we could be like our fortunate neighbours who are not a yo-yo club

just a yo club

It's what you get if you deal with "BK98". You really don't want to know how it's transmitted.

Probably unambitious failures like Pukki, Maddison, Buendia, Godfrey, Lewis, Aarons ...

You're obviously unaware that Barclays Bank sold Ashley Ward to Derby on our behalf. That was bad enough but the fact that Chase didn't have the balls to tell Gary Megson takes it to a whole different level. Imagine Daniel Farke turning up for training on a Monday to be told by his players that Teemu has been sold over the weekend 😂
