Ben Kensell Set To Be Hibs C.E.O.

Recommended Posts

We at the fans social club  wish our friend, Ben Kensell all the very best as he starts his new job as CEO at Hibernian FC, they have made an absolutely cracking appointment!

Ben did a lot of work the last few years on fan engagement, had regular meetings with all the fans groups & us, he was easily contactable by fans with questions or complaints & will be missed, but its a new challenge for him which he'll relish.

To the social club he was more than a ncfc official, he was our friend, having been with us since Day 1, 6 years ago, when he supported Diane in starting the social club. He has been a regular at our events and nothing has ever been too much trouble for him

We were lucky enough to meet up with him the week before he left and gave him some pressies from us, a memory book with pictures of all our events over the years, a csf shirt and an engraved crystal glass, he was pretty emotional.

He will be missed by us all

IMO Hibs need a touch more yellow in their kit (see 1875 original crest) and the stadium needs a few more seats... Ben will be on those issues a.s.a.p I'm sure.

Sounds like a good opportunity for Ben.

Chris Sutton notes in the last chapter of his book how Scottish Football has been moving in the right direction in terms of spectator interest. St. Johnstone winning both domestic cups was a great story. It will need it's Covid recovery plans without the TV monster we have in England. Raising casual attendance prices by 50 per cent won't be an option. Best wishes to Ben.

Why?

Eye-wateringly expensive for property.

Apart from that, and maybe the weather, almost nothing, it’s a fantastic city.

Is that in terms of match attendances or TV audience?

Yes, that's what I thought. One of the few places I would move to, given the opportunity.

Would you be the poster formerly known as LDC if you did move?

Confirmed now.  Good luck to Ben, but I think he needs to stay away from the sun beds for a bit.

Maybe it'll last a few weeks but he'll be white as a sheet before he sees any sunshine again 🙂

Easter Road is in Leith, where the sun always shines 🤔 Still the Capitals wee team tho.
