Shame I don't have Sky. Then again they will probably spend 5 minutes on it, talk about how 'massive' Ipswich are then that will be it

That explains why you're on here so often! 😉

Honestly not even got a TV license anymore, saved me so much money and I really don't miss it

Who needs to pay for the BBC when I get quality entertainent and fun on here for free daily?

The BBC's loss is the Pink Un's gain!

Obviously you still need a TV licence to watch any program 'live or near-live' while it is being broadcast by any broadcaster, not just the BBC. So you can't watch any live football, even streaming on the internet, if it is being broadcast on TV anywhere in the world.

The law says you need to be covered by a TV Licence to:

  • watch or record programmes as they’re being shown on TV, on any channel
  • watch or stream programmes live on an online TV service (such as ITV Hub, All 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now TV, Sky Go, etc.)
  • download or watch any BBC programmes on BBC iPlayer.

This applies to any device you use, including a TV, desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, games console, digital box or DVD/VHS recorder.

Advice, my porcine ex plod

people do break laws rules etc

I would have thought that fairly basic observation might have been grasped, even by you

"So you can't watch any live football, even streaming on the internet, if it is being broadcast on TV anywhere in the world." Petrix

You can't ?

Is there some physical means of blocking that watching ? I think not.

Technology has moved on, and continues to do so. Methods of controlling access have not kept pace. Just as they could not with home taping in the 80's. There will be thousands watching City games via streams, irrespective of the existence of 'Bill TV'.

There are ways to watch Netflix and similar - as with recently released films.

Whether this is right or wrong is down to the individual - but sad old duffers and stalking weirdos posting nonsense on here will not change that position one iota. And as their sort die out what are the views of those who know nothing of paying for a TV licence, dial up internent and metered phone calls. What will be their take ?

What will be the revenue of sky/BT etc as these senile folk drop off their 'pay roll' ?

As a back up phone I signed up with Lebara... £2.50 a month for unlimited calls and texts and 3gb internet.

The world is changing, raging hard into the night because you have been left behind will do little - other than increase your blood pressure. Not a good idea.

Didn't take long for you to resort to being your usual obnoxious, cantankerous, objectionable thoroughly unpleasant specimen.

Obvious to all you have issues and a total lack of self awareness and feel nothing but pity for anyone who actually have to put up with you in the real world.

You are a waste of oxygen.

Oh no how awful, good thing I have never once in my entire life watched a match of football officer I swear. Now must I remind you its illegal to enter my home without my permission and being on my doorstep does count so that's one count of trespassing you have committed already.

Yes, it's amusing to give them written notice of the removal of their implied right of access. That way knocking on your door without a warrant is illegal. But I prefer having a licence these days so I can watch live stuff in decent quality.

Anyone with half a brain can work out that individual's problems, various personas and general denigration of our forum. He's not alone, there are one or two more,

The PinkUn discussion is not what it once was, but hopefully will one day return to the days of decent discussion, mostly devoid of invective and insults, naive and simplified and sweeping categorising of individuals (everybody has their box it seems) and silly schoolboy stuff in abundance.

Being called BedstainsR by Bill (I think) sums the nonsense up. What adult thinks that is remotely funny or clever?

Perhaps we should ask Sports DP to set up a Junior PinkUN forum for the under twelves to accommodate such stupidity?

It only takes one or two bad apples and it suddenly becomes a p -iss off.

It will return to better days.

Whilst I broadly agree with you about Bill, BroadstairsR, I think we all have had our moments on here, you and I included.

Youre not without a bit of name-calling.
