Left footed as well, so good competition for that left sided centre back spot. And then also sign a pre-contract with Ajer in January to join next summer for free, if it looks like we're likely to stay up and nobody meets their asking price this summer. Celtic have been closely linked to a number of Ajer replacements TVB...what do City do...buy them all just to stitch Celtic up?..City have their own ins and outs agenda im sure and whatever Celtic do has zip all to do with our club. Presumably if Liverpool wanted him even as a backup there must be something about him they admired. I did wonder if he’s someone we are looking at just because the situation seems very Us. Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,412 Posted July 11, 2021 I don't think Davies would be anything more than Gibson's backup in all honesty, so we'd still need a Premier League quality centre back to come in and actually provide real competition to Hanley and Gibson for a starting place. It would be the sort of signing we could make after our main business is done if we don't think Zimmermann is up to it and think Omobamidele would be better off having a loan spell. Unfavoured player with ability and potential. At the time it was just because he lived down the road, didn't cost a lot and was an easy piece of business, is pretty much how it was described. If we're bringing him as backup to say replace Omobomadiele who can go out on loan then I don't mind so much, but we'd still need someone a bit more experienced to be competing with Gibson/Hanley Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
