sonyc 5,511 Posted June 24, 2021 This, my friend, rather feels like some kind of symbol for division in our society doesn't it? I mean it is literally divided.....The inability to compromise, a certain mean-minded spirit, spiteful. Quite sad. Reminded me of Brexit and a few other aspects of peoples' personalities. What is it with boundaries?!!!
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted June 24, 2021 Makes you wonder if its more than an argument about a tree.
TheGunnShow 5,938 Posted June 24, 2021 Why couldn't the tree be moved away from the neighbour's drive?

Boring answer but there you go.

Herman 9,754 Posted June 25, 2021 Aye, I think the man has basically killed it. It's never going to grow back to any shape so they will be best to chop it down (accidentally onto his car) or leave it like that so the birds can still nest and do their business on his car and drive.😀
nevermind, neoliberalism has had it 159 Posted June 25, 2021 its a manicured Leylandi, which grows the size of a tree. This one was trimmed, as it seems, to allow cars on both sides to pass and park. Its root ball could be ignored if cut down as low as possible. stump ground and hey presto, another nesting habitat eradicated.
Van wink 2,994 Posted June 25, 2021 Anyone interested in amusingly shaped carrot photos?
PurpleCanary 5,557 Posted June 25, 2021 It is plainly a metaphor for the NI protocol. The resident who planted the tree never thought their neighbour would take such a nit-picking and legalistic approach...
SwindonCanary 455 Posted June 25, 2021 No trouble with the birds if he parked the car behind the gate !
