cambridgeshire canary 7,661 Posted June 23, 2021 (edited) I think it's time to retire his shirt number in honour of his legacy here. Anyone with me? Edited June 23, 2021 by cambridgeshire canary
Crafty Canary 544 Posted June 23, 2021 No, but at least it’s another one on your thread count.
Monty13 2,695 Posted June 23, 2021 Not sure why the need for this? We needed a backup keeper, he came in and fulfilled his short contract, we went up and have gone out and bought better for our number 2. No hard feelings from either party I imagine. Thanks and good luck in the future for me.

Don't be so glum, it's a lovely beautful day outside and you're spending it being a grumpy git! 2 minutes ago, Monty13 said: Not sure why the need for this? Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,515 Posted June 23, 2021 After the signing of Gunn, I guess this was probably one of the most unsurprising pieces of news the club could release this afternoon. Fair play to him, he did the job he needed to do.

To be fair him giving away his winners medal to the youth was pretty nice to see, clearly a nice guy
Alex Moss 2,167 Posted June 23, 2021 I’m actually now very pleased to read he’s leaving, as my initial feeling prior to opening the thread was that this would be news of one of our posters, or a person connected to the club, passing away. So am pleased to see that’s not the case. So no big deal about Nyland! Still think it’s utterly hilarious he got given a winners medal, I’m sure in some competitions you used to have to play a certain percentage of games in order to qualify for a medal. TheGoogler 598 Posted June 23, 2021 I actually have a lot of respect for this decision. I'm sure Nyland could have stayed, asked maybe for a bit more money and Norwich would likely have gone for it. But he's chosen to try and get a club he'll play at. Credit to him for taking the decision to pursue his career over his bank balance and good luck to him 👍
Michael Starr 568 Posted June 25, 2021 A move that's worked for both. Norwich got decent GK cover at the backend of last season and Nyland got to get himself back up to a decent level of fitness. Smart move.
AJ 1,342 Posted June 25, 2021 Gunn provides better future prospects so it makes sense. Sounds like we gave Nyland time to consider his options and in return we had excellent cover there if it was needed. Made sense at the time but now it's the time to get in hopefully our next no1 in Gunn
