Skipp or Gilmour

Recommended Posts

Both.

Skipp in one of the DCM role after a swap and cash deal for max.

Gilmour playing as the 10 with Todd left and Dowell or a new winger to the right 🤷‍♂️

I wouldnt want both. The idea of our entire central midfield being players on loan with very little chance of a permanent deal isn't ideal.

For depth options, readily take both to help buy us some time and secure another year of Premier League cash - hopefully. Gilmour couldn't look more ready for the Premiership if he tried, and if he keeps his head screwed on and his feet on the ground, he looks a genuine blue-chip prospect.

I'd go as far as to say he's the player Leitner should have been.

Gilmour is as hungry as hell with a lot to prove so if we had to choose I think he would be a fantastic signing.

Skipp also has to prove himself this season otherwise I think his Spurs chance could be over.

Would love both of them tbh. Young and hungry players on loan isn't an issue, it's these old farts at the twilight of their career where there isn't value.

Survival is all. We don't have the cash to build the ideal in one window. Both would do nicely, but if I had to chose it would be Skipp as the CDM hole is bigger that the AM

The difference is neither are mercenaries just looking at an easy pay day. Would be a  very decent coup to sign either or both for a season.

Both obviously not!   Skipp preferred but Gilmour looks a player in the making… not enough experience yet for the starter role.
We need our own central midfield first!    Two new ones and Skipp or Gilmour would be ideal.

Surely Farke would start McLean over Gilmour, after all Gilmour only got into the Scotland squad because of McLean’s injury. Even Steve Clarke must rate McLean as the better player, maybe not better potential, but that shouldn’t bother us.

Skipp..

We can only have 2 season long loans from other EPL clubs, so i guess it depends on if we are bringing in Williams - otherwise i would have both..
