There is nothing extraordinary about England’s play. I gave them the benefit of the doubt vs Croatia, since it was the opening game. But watching them play Scotland it looks as though they have nothing special to offer. No real creative movement. No real chances created. No real connectivity. As for this game, more pace moving the ball, ideally behind the Scotland wing-backs or the channel between the outer centre-half and the wing-back is how to unhinge this set-up.
