Oh boo bloody hoo. Club earning £170m guaranteed this season misses out on £5m pay day because they aligned themselves with a bunch of sausage swallowing sexists.

Satire? It was anything but satire. Genuine satire needs a brain behind it.

As with most of this interaction, you simply don't get it.

Much like how, if we take your passionate defence of refugees at face value, then it makes your cordial description of your interactions with "Man of Kent" Farage nothing but craven cowardice, given he's done more than any other single person in this country to poison the discourse against refugees.

Oh do **** off with the Poundland mafia boss impression. No one will give the slightest **** about not having £5m in 12 months time whereas it would have been an ongoing embarrassment and betrayal of our values to become known as the side sponsored by pornographers.

Right that's it. I'm out.

For somebody who always seems to need the last word your the perameters of your little black and white world seem very limited and to the point of excrutiating stupidity. You are a very screwd up individual, that's for sure. Relax man.

We have gone past the point were we have disrespected this forum and our fellow posters.

Have the last word if you wish. Even if its just a row of silly little faces, another insult or someting you've dragged up from the internet that you seem to think makes some point or other.

What about not having £5m to spend this summer?

Your figure is wrong and the club's values shouldn't be measured in pounds and pence.

Snowflake!! 😂 That's a first.

You meanwhile, have shown you're quite happy to allow your principles to be bought. It makes you little more than a common rent boy, really.

Imagine actually being happy to ignore the feelings your fellow fans have expressed over how this makes them feel? For money!

Imagine not realising that the cost of keeping BK8 where fans would have avoided purchasing merchandise in protest would have cost more than the £5m lost from this.

Imagine not realising that whoever replaces BK8 will make up some of the shortfall.

Imagine thinking that any sum of money is worth creating a reputation that the club is hypocritical in what it says it's values are compared to what they practice.

If you're a parent, how do you possibly reconcile teaching your kids about respect, truth and honour but then calling this a "pathetic over reaction" just because we might lose £5m?

I get the feeling the £203m we'll receive this season from Premier League TV rights and player sales means we'll be just fine financially, thank you very much.

Imagine some fans aren’t so easily offended by something they could see on any Keith Lemmon show

imagine not knowing how much the decision to drop main sponsor will have eventually but knowing at the moment it’s £5m

imagine not letting your children onto betting sites on the internet or even having a parental filter

imagine a club in London being actually owned by people directly involved in adult entertainment and not producing a generation of morally skewed fans

over reaction or under reaction everyone has a different viewpoint and a lot most likely comes down to how important those ‘family values’ of the club are. I’ve always seen them as a marketing ploy up to now and something every club says but whether I agree with it or not the action taken shows the club means it so fair play for that

You will need to include in your blame game those other sponsors who were appalled by the idea of being associated with BK8 and its marketing links to hard core p o r n and made their feelings clear to the club. Difficult to accuse those hard-faced, bottom-line watching businesspeople of being pearl-clutching snowflakes.

Ridiculous to put this on the fans (or the other sponsors who also made their feelings clear on announcing BK8 as principal sponsor). The club is not the victim, they’re the perpetrator. This is a mess of their making, as they have acknowledged and apologised for. It isn’t £5m lost as it never should have happened.

The space on the front of the shirt - next to the badge - is not available to the highest bidder with no questions asked.

I think people need to take a step back and remember this is a message board for civil discussion and reign in the personal insults. One poster in particular on this thread keeps throwing in unnecessary low jibes on almost any occasion he gets into a debate with those with a contrary opinion. Grow up.

That sounded triggered.

The fact that both fans and sponsors had raised serious concerns mean we could easily have lost sponsorship deals from existing sponsors. Secondly, that money is only lost if we don't get another sponsor. Sure, a replacement sponsor may not (but then again might, we don't know) pay quite as much. However, this was as much a victory for fan power at a single club as downing the ESL was for football in general.

Enjoy it. It shows that for the first time in ages, the powers that be are realising that fans will get together when something really concerns them that much.

I've never seen the Keith Lemmon show. I suspect we'd have something to say if the club suddenly chose it to be the main sponsor. What a ridiculous comparison to make.

Dropping the main sponsor hasn't cost us anything, if you believe what the club are saying. It's left us with £5m shortfall in the budget. Two very different things. Shortfalls can be made up. The BK8 sponsorship would have cost us money because revenue would have decreased from other sponsors not wanting to be affiliated and merchandise not selling. Again, it shows your misunderstanding if you think this has cost Norwich £5m.

Why on earth would you say that kids should be allowed on betting sites (which is illegal, btw) or suggest parental filters not be used? What a bizarre thing to say and not the slightest bit related to what we're discussing.

We're not West Ham. Go support them if you want to be associated with pornographers.

One of the weirdest responses I've ever got.

I don't think we will have much trouble replacing the sponsor as we will have Premier League exposure on offer.

Can we have some real hunky beefcake in the promotion though, even if it only means being sponsored by Marmite?

Mmmmm Marmite...yes please...it’d be the first of our sponsors I’ve ever used!

This isn’t the first time we have screwed up a sponsorship deal, I am staggered someone’s head hasn’t rolled for this.

It shows the malaise that has hit the club over the past few seasons

For those blaming BK8gate on Ben Kensell it is interesting to read the Linkedin page of the Head of Commercial Development Ben Tunnell who is proud to claim responsibility for Leo Vegas and Dafabet. Maybe cynical to wonder why BK8 is not on there. 😂

A whole bunch of people linked to that account claim some responsibility for front of shirt partnerships. Hardly fair to pick out one.

Gone a bit quiet on the sponsorship front? I wonder if this fiasco has put off potential sponsors from looking to be involved and going under the microscope and the forensic analysis that will inevitably follow.

The Galway Roast who sponsored The South Stand and went into administration after just a few short months . From memory the franchise was formed in June and bust by November as they could not raise money to finance the business. Due diligence comes to mind again.
