Will Any Of You Be Signing The Petition ?

Recommended Posts

Utterly ludicrous.

So some women were naughty on a video. Oooh no the horror.

Its demeaning to women. Except those women did it of their own free will, which is.... Feminism.

And as for gambling. Alcohol kills more and ruins more lives.

Where is the outrage over woodfordes adverts at the ground then?

Typical 21st century virtue signalling, woke nonsense. People have been programmed to seek outrage and mob attack for literally anything.

Grow the hell up.

No - it’s the wrong petition for this cause. Why link it to all gambling?

This.

I would do if the petition was solely against NCFC's involvement with BK8.

I've nothing against the gambling aspect of football sponsorship of our club in general but do feel uncomfortable when it's linked to scantily clad people deep throating hot dogs etc, etc.

What corporate sponsor do people expect to find that can give us an injection of cash that isn’t up to some sort of “no-good”?

Sounds like you are the one that needs to grow up. Belittling it by using trite labels like "virtue signalling" and "woke nonsense" does you no favours either. There is a very serious point to all this and it is to do with associating with a company that uses pornographic imagery/videos to advertise/promote itself. If you think that is ok, fine, but there looks to be a heck of a lot of people who are horrified that a so called family/community club is associating itself with a company that behaves in this way.

Good idea and I wish whoever made it well but sadly as with all petitions-

99 percent of them don't work

Probably because 99% of them are $hit causes with no support outside of the echo chambers they originate from.

No, whilst it doesn’t paint a brilliant image of our club, the pictures have been taken down, NCFC has apologised & so has bk8, plus no laws have been broken. Lessons will have been leant & as far as I’m concerned we just move on.

Couldn't give a flying big one if I'm honest. As long as they give us more money than any other sponsor then all good, but they clearly need speaking to about their behaviour

The funny thing is, this deal is apparently worth slightly less per season than the Dafabet one.

Oh really, now that is funny. Nice how they've dressed it up then.

Q: Does the club have a message for the female supporters, a large portion of whom feel let down and disappointed by the decision to enter a sponsorship with a company which has sexualised women to advertise their product?

None of these questions has been answered as the club untangle their way out of a massive and complicated web which most fans will hope ends with the unravelling of this unholy alliance.

Says who?
‘Apparently’ is often nowhere near the truth and far more likely to be ‘made up’.

The Athletic, who are generally the most reliable source of sports news, in an article that features contributions by Michael Bailey.

"The narrative is a club trying to play by financial rules, and therefore commercial opportunities such as shirt sponsor must be maximised if Norwich are to stand a chance of success. Dafabet’s arrival in the summer of 2019 was labelled a club-record deal, worth in excess of £5 million a year. The BK8 deal comes slightly under that mark but is still seen as a very good financial package due to the current economic climate and continuing coronavirus pandemic."

Firstly, a big big own goal by the club; but if the content on these websites is so bad, that we should close our eyes, then why in order to sign the petition would i get shown the same offensive pictures again!!

I'd hazard a guess that it could be how the deal is paid. It might not have been paid in 3 years at 5m per year.?

I think the same with Emi's fee. Duncan was saying on Saturday Villa may have offered a fair chunk of the fee in the first year. If Villa's offer was below that of another club, say Arsenal, but Arsenal wanted the payments paid evenly over the five years it could be worth taking the lower amount. I think some clubs borrow against future installments and I would hope we wouldn't do that. Anyway it would cost some of the fee in interest.

Betting companies are where the money is at at the moment, if it wasn't these guys it would be someone else similar. £5m in the coffers. I don't support sexism, but the deal itself is good business.

The bigger question to ask is should social media companies be allowing such content.
