Is it harder to sort out your own problems?

Recommended Posts

From the outside it sometimes looks as if Worthy cannot see or does not know how to deal with the problems he has currently has at City.  He did an excellent job in the past but it wasn''t his own mess he had to sort it.  He was Hamilton''s assistant and he probably was amazed by some of Hamiltons signings and decisions.  He probably knew what he would do before he ever got the job, which players he liked, who he needed etc etc.

I''m not saying he had an easy job turning us from relegation to promotion material, merely suggesting it''s sometimes easier to identify what needs doing when it''s not your mess.

Absolutely brilliant post Saint...  It is very true that you can be "too close to the problem" and not be able to see things from a broader perspective.  Also sometimes when looking from the outside you have no personal problems with any of the players, they are not players ''you'' have signed and may feel you have to play due to this.
