BK8 the new sponsor?

If we are going down this road then doesn’t that rule about just about every company ever? Which brand doesn’t have a history of questionable advertising or practices?

Rules out a lot of potential new owners too. Weren’t Leicester’s owners quite big with that bizarre elephant polo tournament that use to run across Asia? Considering they are often lauded as the good guys that wouldn’t leave many options open on here.

Im not happy about this sponsor but I’m finding the overreaction somewhat hypocritical. Is there something else going on here? I hope everyone dismayed about this won’t be disappointed when we don’t unveil an Adidas or Nike kit in a few weeks.

There is a difference between having a history of it and doing it right now.

That's a really, really dangerous precedent to set.

If anything the way the beeb have worded it it looks like we’re making social media a safer place. Keep on keeping on with the clean up Norwich. 🙃

Also makes it sound like we teamed up with P**nhub.. did I miss some links?.. so if please repost

What?

Basically saying that, in this case, if BK8 done this for 3 years then stopped the day before signing with us, it would be different.

Similarly, that because Leicesters owners don't act in the same way now they shouldn't be branded with the same brush (I note, not you by the way, several posters who would take literally any owner with money coming down hard on the club for this sponsorship agreement, blisfully unaware of the irony)

All the companies I’ve mentioned still do. Apple, Microsoft happy to censor content to sell in China, Adidas with sweatshops etc.

to be honest, I agree with the negative response, but there has been an overreaction  by fans in my opinion. Not least your belief that Kensell will lose his job over this. I’m not suggesting your view is outrageous or offensive. I just agree with the earlier poster who described it as knee jerk.

I think the initial tweet went out around 12-1am from what I recall.

My Mum came through to my bedroom around half 4 with the landline phone saying it was Norwich City on the phone wanting to speak to me.............

I wish my son had been treated as leniently a couple of years later.

He was employed at the club and took a photo of one of the new kits (away kit or 3rd kit I think) and sent it to a mate
Unfortunately his mate put it on social media and all hell let loose which resulted in my son being sacked.

I mean…it’s a shame your son lost his job but that is quite clearly an abuse of position and against company policy. The chap above is an outsider to the company and exploited the weakness of the club’s own systems.

Also is it that lenient to have the police involved and being hassled by journalists?

Well. Somebody done f*cked up big time.

My suggestion to all those who have no issue with this: put the names of your wives/girlfriends/mothers/daughters forward to the club for their new half-time entertainment show - 'Dirty Delia's Mega Meat Deep Throat Special'. Funnily enough, 'DDMMDTS' just happens to be the sound your wives/girlfriends/mothers/daughters will make as they greedily gobble down on their substantial half time snack.

I'm sure you'd all be happy to be on the pitch beside your loved ones as they go down on a Farkefurter (mayo optional). We could capture your proud faces on the big screen as your nearest and dearest chow down on their meaty treat.

She would be happy to get out of the kitchen for a bit I reckon.

(before the torrent of abuse, I’m only trying to show the ridiculous nature of this post.. it’s hardly the same thing. Show me where these girls have been forced to demean themselves in front of 30k people rather than voluntarily partake in a marketing job and I will be the first to sign your petition)

I think it's worth remembering that the women in the photos are not being forced to do so against their will. They're being paid and they've chosen to partake. Giving women the choice of career is surely empowering to them and the complete opposite of sexism. Am not buying into the idea this goes against any "ethical" thing.

Having a betting syndicate on the shirt for me is tantamount  to saying “ we’re  S**t”

You basically now have, a company we have agreed a deal with, being told by the club to change it's social media content (who failed to check? Incredible really) and fans of NCFC threatening to not buy new shirts, which hits an already inadequate cash flow.. truly amateurish! Not been a great week so far for the club!

Ridiculous post? How very dare you! I'm deadly serious. As you clearly have no issue this kind of entertainment, please give me your wifes/girlfriends/mothers/daughters details and I'll happily pass them on to the NCFC Gobble Crew.

The current landing page for the website. Seems less "historical marketing" and more fundamental part of the product:

Shouldn’t be associated with betting companies full stop,  it’s not a good look for our family club.

Depends how much money it brought in. Twitter forgets worse things than tacky ads on the other side of the world rather quickly.

It's made the BBC. Ruh roh Raggy and all that. Time for the classic 'corner flag club statment' post on all our/Norwichs social media accounts?

"Norwich City have had their new shirt sponsor remove sexually provocative posts from one of its social media accounts after a backlash from fans."

GET SOMEBODY WHO HAS USED INTERNET TO EXPLAIN TO OUR MANAGEMENT THIS LOOKS VERY BAD.

Interesting isn’t it - I do find this overreaction somewhat weird.  Not the best pr from the club but far from warrants the responses it has gained, particularly from people like Rob Butler who ‘working local’ seems to want his moment of national fame.

I’m sure you could find plenty of things about many organisations should you choose to look.
