It's not a case of 'being on smack' it's a case of not wanting to sell your best talent, combined with the current virus transfer market and English players always demanding large fees.

My opinion  has always been that Gibson would be in that England squad if Dyche played football. Are Mee and Tarkowski better defenders? I'd say they're at least as good if not better, of course. But neither are as good a passer as our Ben and Mings starting is proof of how important a left footed CB who can pass is becoming in the modern game and particularly in our style. Gibson has been a truly great signing and I believe he will prove his quality in the Premier League.

With Gold prices as they are (£1300 per ounce), anyone who is worth their weight in Gold is now a very reasonably priced player.

Let's take Emi for example at 72 Kg he comes in at £3.3m on the gold standard.

In fact Emi would have to weigh an incredible 720 Kg to be worth his weight in gold-based on what we sold him for.

Even if he really lets himself go I can't see that happening. 

Maybe I need to get out more often.

He looks an interesting one but I'm always wary when we're part of a list of clubs- firstly because it can sound like we've been added by an agent to make their client look more in demand and secondly because those other clubs will generally be bale to out muscle us financially.

However 9 goals from midfield, 24 years old, apparently north of 6 foot tall and on the edge of the Spanish national team? Sounds brilliant.
