Bradwell canary 109 Posted May 12, 2021 A few years ago the refs were told in the event of an offside occurrence they should always give the attacking player the benefit of any doubt. Sadly that never happened in practice. Now next season it’s even worse as we will be judged by that awful VAR systems again, offside by a toenail it will be. All for technology, such as the success with goal line decisions. But all the shirt pulling etc in the penalty area never punished. I hate VAR.
AJ 1,218 Posted May 12, 2021 As long as it is consistent then I can deal with it - what has been an issue is rules being interpreted one day then differently another. It can be as **** as it likes about offsides as long as it is fair for everyone
ged in the onion bag 855 Posted May 12, 2021 VAR is fine......... sadly, its the pathetic rules and the incompetents who don't understand the game. We used to say that refs hadn't got a clue as they hadn't played the game before, how true its being proved now.... they are being well and truly exposed for their lack of nous. Diving cheats all over the park and they are giving the fouls for every tiny touch.
