Is Ed Sheeran.

Rumour has it he' going to rewrite the lyrics to his 2011song Lego House to include something about a tree growing out of the roof

It's a good match. Boring music for a boring football club.

I hate him - not just because he's a binner, but because his music is bland and dopey and he's hailed as some sort of Bowie-esque genius - pah!

He might rewrite "Shape of You" to something like this...

"I'm in love with the shape of you
When I watch down the Port-aloo
With a tree growing through the roof
I'm in love with what I see
Last night when I dreamed of you
We'd made it into League Two
US investors, all brand new
I'm in love with the shape of you!"

Rick Stein is originally from that neck of the woods so they can ask him to sponsor them now he is running out of money and his fish and chips are as siht as their strikers.

Would suit them perfect,  “YOUR SH1T AND YOU SMELL OF FISH”

Surely this thread belongs in the “non football” section?

Ah yes. Pulling the old Curtains back together . Great little 1960’s four piece . Loved “you ain’t never won nothin’” .

I think almost irrespective of whether this is good for the Binners, the funniest part is that with his logo on their shirts they'll all have to dress like wide eyed teenagers who have never heard of Jason Mraz

I'm looking forward to when this all falls apart, US investment and all, and someone takes inspiration from this story to wish for Marcus Evans to come back with the headline 'You Need ME, You're In League Two'

...i'll get me coat

I'm guessing that's a reference to one of his songs? Ive normally fallen asleep about 20 seconds into one so wouldn't know.

unfortunately I hail from the Angry Birds generation, so I am all too aware of how he's just a Jason Mraz rip off with an Adele rip off ballad in him. But, ah, the lad's done well, fair play. Can't fault headlining Glasto on your own whether you like him or not.

I do fault that. I just can't trust a musician who chooses not to have a drummer!

I agree with your principles here, entirely.

It's the fact that he managed it that is the remarkable achievement, even if you think he is entirely derivative as I do.

that said, briefly OT, i'm still waiting for my sodding drummer to send me the tracks for my album, when I could program them myself. So I understand waning patience with drummers. (This really shouldn't be a Football thread)
