Suspected broken foot. Will be a shame if he has to miss our last game. Could have been his last in a city shirt, and winning the title in it isn't a bad way to end I suppose. We all know Norwich want him to stay, I guess it all comes down to whether their new boss, whoever that may be, wants to integrate him into their squad or loan him out to get some premier League experience. If it's a loan, there's no doubt it'll be with us but sadly I think he's ready for bigger things.

Best loan since Huckerby?

I hope he'll be back next season. Doubt he gets in the Spurs side right now, but his reading of the game and knack of being in the right place at the right time is what we've lacked for years and what we'll need in the Premier League

Bizarre injury, real shame he won’t be playing the final game, he’s been exceptional.

I hope something is pencilled in for next year but I suppose that depends on the new Spurs boss.

Personally agree, struggling to think of a better loan since Huckerby.

It'll come down largely to who the new spurs manager is....if its a foreign manager who's never heard of him, we'd have a chance of getting him back on loan....if its someone like Rodgers,Southgate or (surely they wouldnt?) , Ryan Mason permenantly less so , as you'd imagine them wanting to keep a young player around the squad

Horrific injury, remember when the same happened to Pukki and even after he came back (after a long time off) he clearly wasn't the same until a couple of games into this season

OK, Jacob Sorensen, now's your chance!

To the rescue! Although I would not mind seeing Tettey play for us next week given it will probably be his last chance to play for us and all 😢

Definately won’t be playing next weekend so completely agree it would be great for Tettey to get a match. Not sure he will though, they probably want to give Sorenson some minutes against decent opposition to see how he fares.

Tetts and Sorensen together, McLean further up. Why not?

Harsh to drop Dowell.

Think it will be Sorensen and Tetts to come on late in the game as a goodbye gesture. I’ll miss him, and his smile being around the place.

Good point, actually. I was just thinking Tetts and Sorensen together as Sorensen did say in an early Athletic interview that Tettey was mentoring him a lot. Putting them together in the final game made a lot of sense to me from that perspective.

I would imagine if he's off the club will announce it before the next game and if so, this will be the way ahead. Sorensen deserves the game time and they'll give Tetts the last 20 or so to enjoy himself. I imagine it'll be the same for Vrancic assuming he is off as well

Didn't Pukki break a toe?

Skipp seems to have broken the bone down the outside of his foot (which I did years ago) it's a thin bone that runs from the heel to the little toe.

From the photos it appears they allowed him to take the boot off during the celebrations.

If he's broken the bone I did then putting pressure on the side is actually more painful than letting it be free.

Statement seems to suggest it's likely it's broken.

Looking at it from a selfish point of view, would this make it more or less likely for us to keep him next year? He'd be touch and go for the start of next season and will almost certainly miss pre-season, and that may mean without a chance to impress the new Spurs head coach in pre-season, they may just decide to end up loaning him out?

We need to look to the future, get him in against a good champs team, in his position!

I'll be very surprised if Tettey starts ahead of Sorenson.

I suspect Sorensen will start as that's more beneficial to us longer term. The sentimental part will come in the 2nd half when Tettey will come on, and probably take the armband off Hanley for the remainder of the game.

I think it'll be Sorenson and McLean, with Dowell at 10.

How long did it take you to heal up?

Lots of assumptions and conjecture on here, how long he is out for depends on which particular bone is broken, how badly it’s broken if at all etc. There are two months until pre season starts so whoever that is with he could be fit for it and in plenty of time for the start of the season.

I think it’s 50/50 whether he returns here to be honest, can see the case for all three scenarios.

Most broken bones take around in 6-8 weeks to heal

That's a hefty wedge of pre-season. Can't see Webber hanging around for both his rehab and a Spurs decision. Bit of a bummer this, I secretly hoped Skipp would return, starting to look more unlikely now.

I would actually view it the other way round, we'd be happy to wait for Skipp, other than fitness it's not vital he is around for pre season as he's already part of our squad, for Spurs it's the opposite and means he won't get so much of a chance to stake a claim for a first team place

Ralf Ragnick been heavily linked. Hes lauded in Germany for his belief in youngsters and academies. Whoever comes in there will want to have a good look at their whole squad. Thats going to take time and we aren't going to wait about for a decision.
