We can just about without Pukki and Cantwell but must be able to field Hanley. If he doesn't play get ready for another defeat two on the bounce not happened in Champs since Aug/Sept 2018. He (Dowell) is capable of scoring a goal so great if we had the ball but has no physical presence whatsoever. People can literally get pass him like he wasn't there. I have enjoyed his attacking play but for a serious opponent we need our best players - regardless if people think he is the future of the club or not - title is on the line ! There's no doubt he needs to improve that side of his game, Vrancic certainly did as he looked incredibly lightweight in his first season with us. Dowell has much more physical presence though with height, more akin to Stiepermann but not quite as tall. With up to 5 first choice players missing, against the second strongest side in the league who will be highly motivated, keeping the gap to 8 points essentially wins the title. Thing is on average Vrancic only makes 'half a tackle' more than Dowell per game, so there's not much in it. Dowell is better on the ball, goes past players better than Vrancic, and their passing stats are incredibly similar.
