VAR strikes again

Despite watching that incident yesterday several times, I still don’t see it as a red.  The reaction of the player got the card and he tried the theatrics several other times.

I think, given the circumstances, VAR would not have overturned the referee in this instance. Harsh on Dimi but when you go on with a stamp/studs you're asking for trouble.

But yes, the Brewster one was similar and Brewster ended up getting the booking despite being the Pearson in that scenario. It's a grey area and the ref went with his gut which, unfortunately, is often based on the reaction of the players
