Does anyone know of anywhere that will show the game Saturday night in a nice socially distanced outside kinda way? 🤔

Thinking about it, is this even allowed yet?

Thanks all

I wonder what it will be like down riverside, if the queen of iceni turn the telly’s round facing outside, close to the ground. Anyone worried about social distancing would be better off staying at home I reckon.

The Eaton Cottage on Unthank Road already has a setup for outside viewing, I watched a game there between the lockdowns over the summer. Social distancing was... sporadic at best! 🙂

If anyone knows of any other boozers that are planning to show it outside, do let us know. I know the Rose Tavern aren't going to be showing it, they can't find a plausible way of getting screens outside.

Hadn't really considered this, if it is outside then technically it is allowed I would assume?

I believe the Garden House , Pembroke road will be showing it outside.

You’d definitely need to book if it is .

He has been missing for 6 days now following the deletion of the D of E thread and isn't it surprising how threads are now in abundance and unpleasantness has disappeared. Purely a coincidence of course. 😜

**** - any other suggestions Pete?

I remember a few years ago the Coach & Horses in Thorpe Rd had a telly outside for the rugby when I was at a match.

Might be worth asking if the plan to do something similar for the footie ?

Jubilee have an outdoor TV and show the footy. I suspect you've missed the boat there.

William IV might be worth a try but it's an interesting little pub. Popped in on Monday lunchtime for my first pint on tap in months. It was colourful to say the least but there was a tele in the garden under the tent. Just don't go in with high expectations...
