cambridgeshire canary 7,797 Posted April 10, 2021 Absolute warrior, no doubt in my mind he really helped us stay in it. Really improved this season, had some naysayers in the past but I think they are all rather quiet right now.
Herman 11,136 Posted April 10, 2021 There was a stage when I thought he would be surplus to requirements but he has been a great player and captain this season. Well done Grant.👏
Van wink 2,994 Posted April 10, 2021 Massive contribution to this season, hopefully will be available to push the bus.
Coneys Knee 1,048 Posted April 10, 2021 I think people forget just how good he was in his first season here.
smooth 114 Posted April 10, 2021 I agree with a lot of the posts here. I was chatting earlier about how he has been so impressive this year. True captains performance throughout the season, has built a great partnership with Gibson and has led by example with new players in that back line and of course with Barden for some games in goal. He is a player worthy of talking in the player of the season conversation. Yes buendia, skipp, pukki have been in that conversation most of the year and other players too, but Hanley deserves to be in that conversation.

I was thinking the same, he was superb in his 1st season, runner up to Maddison in POTS. Injuries hit him in his 2nd season and struggled to get in front of a title winning CB pairing. This guy was captaining Blackburn when he was about 20.
Deptford Yellow 295 Posted April 10, 2021 Paul (ahem) Lambert once described him as a ‘colossus at the back’ and that is it in a nutshell imho....
Rich T The Biscuit 676 Posted April 10, 2021 Great defender, great leader and great mentor. Omobamidele has been thrown in the deep end and you wouldn't know, clearly the lad has talent but Hanley has stepped up and looked after him.
