Prince Philip dies

Recommended Posts

Shame we will never know if Lizzie would have sent him a card had he lived to 100.

Seriously though, think we all knew this was coming. Not looked good recently, I mean he's not looked good for about a decade but that last couple of photos of him he looked awful.

Overall this has been one really **** year for the royal family hasnt it?

Sad news. I was listening to radio 6 whose service was interupted with the news then the national anthem was played. Very off the wall for Radio 6.

Sad news, not sure I can cope with wall to wall Nicholas Witchel

Yes, very sad day for the Queen especially.

And ...Jenny Bond was always was more fruity and personable whereas Witchell always reminds me of a living form of a walnut.

I like that nut analogy, as opposed to allergy, although actually I think I am allergic to the little ginger nut.

I must admit I find most of Royal correspondents the most obsequious and fawning people possible. Get somebody more 'with-it' or less on bended knee. I'm sure DofE who had a life well lived would want that as well if only 1/2 the stories are true. He was after all quite a character and whatever your thoughts about the monarchy served the country very well nearly all his very long life.

The BBC making sure that they don't get any grief by putting coverage on every radio station.

Heart-breaking for Her Majesty to lose her partner of the past seventy-three years.

A distinguished career in the navy. RIP, your Royal Highness.

VW, i have huge respect for you but please dont sink to that level.   A man has died.  No matter what we think of him he was a husband, father grandfather, cousin, friend.

Good to see the moderators removing your vile posts. A family has lost a husband, father and grandfather, show some respect.

A man whose dedication to his wife saw him giving up so much. He lived an absolutely fascinating life. Thoughts with the royal family who have lost a husband, father, grand father and great grand father.

He understood the power of the individual, the strong spirited individual, hence the duke of Edinburgh award. Not the bitter, twisted collectivist. Some of you have really lost it. Yikes.

Out of respect for Phillip 6music has a more subdued and sombre playlist and it is rather special. 👍
