......and Smith must score.

Teemu Pukki's ' Golden Boot ' Chances

Recommended Posts

Teemu has been racing up the rails on fire recently and Toney is now just three ahead. The Bees have an extra game but their star man had been firing blanks for a while so must be looking over his shoulder.

One bookmaker has Toney at a really stingy 1/20 and Pukki at what looks a very generous 13/2.

Maybe I'm missing something but those odds look wrong.

Pukki is having a lot better form at the moment, so there is chance for sure. In his last ten matches Toney has scored only five times. Of those five, three has been penalties. So scoring on open play has been quite hard for him lately.

Toney will get two games more now

One. They only have one game in hand now.

I’ve just made the bet with Bet365 in the T&Cs it confirms:

- play offs don’t count.
- dead heat rules apply: if 2 players finish level you are paid put half the winnings

Other sites rules may vary!

Worth remembering if we secure the league, Idah and Hugill are likely to get more game time.

Possibly, but I doubt Farke will stop his best striker trying to get top scorer if he's in the running, which he is.

Pukki just needs to keep scoring at least a goal a game, throw in a brace or two and he can easily overturn Toney. He says he's not bothered but I'm sure he actually is!

With the way we can play on our day he should get plenty of chances.

I doubt Pukki would want to stop playing when/if we win the league or secure promotion. He’ll want the momentum for the Euros

A hat trick against Brentford without conceding would set him up nicely...

* of course I realise 49 minutes too late that we've already played Brentford twice... 🙄🙈 *
