Rich T The Biscuit 562 Posted March 11, 2021 So, I was interested to see who has who left but looking at teams that realistically have stuff to play, ie points for Top 6 or to avoid the drop zone. We have: Sheff Wed - Drop Zone, Huddersfield- Drop Zone, Derby - Drop Zone, Bournemouth - Top 6, Watford- Top 6, Reading - Top 6, Barnsley - Top 6 Watford have: Cardiff - Top 6, Rotherham - Drop Zone, Birmingham - Drop Zone, SheffWed - Drop Zone, Reading - Top 6, Norwich - Top 6, Brentford - Top 6, Swansea - Top 6 Swansea have: Bournemouth - Top 6, Cardiff - Top 6, Birmingham - Drop Zone, Wycombe - Drop Zone, Reading - Top 6, Watford - Top 6 Brentford have: Derby - Drop Zone, Huddersfield - Drop Zone, Birmingham - Drop Zone, Cardiff - Top 6, Bournemouth - Top 6, Rotherham - Drop Zone, Watford - Drop Zone. Clearly this will change over the nexy few weeks as a good result here or there for those close to the bottom may make them easier to play in the same way that 2 bad results from those in or around the Top 6 like Cardiff or Bournemouth may affect but it's interesting to see those games that may be slighter tougher than those mid table with nothing now to play for, ie Boro (9th) down to Luton (16th) or maybe Forest (17th). Feedthewolf 4,844 Posted March 11, 2021 There's definitely something in this; the teams with something to play for, whether at the top or the bottom, may well feel that their best chance of getting something from us is defending deep and looking to hit us on the break, where we can sometimes be vulnerable (although admittedly not so much in recent games). Those mid-table teams with nothing to play for might actually be a bit more open and try to play with a bit of carefree swagger, and that generally plays into our hands. One little thing: under Brentford's fixtures, you've listed Watford as 'Drop Zone' rather than 'Top 6'.
