Are Barnsley feeling the Championship pinch

Recommended Posts

Barnsley fail to keep their winning run of 7 wins going after being held by lowly Derby.  Have they become the latest of those teams hovering around the Play Offs to seemingly finding the rigours of a long Championship season too much.  Swansea, Reading, and Bournemouth finding their form deserting them towards seasons end.  This has not seemed to have affected City, whose entire squad are now fit and firing but a reverse at the very poor Sheff Wed may show the the exertions are taking its toil.  Certainly there have been no signs of late and hopefully a week without a fixture will be beneficial before another run of 3 fixture in 6 days.  3 wins against some of the divisions under achievers should rubber stamp our promotion push onto champions.

Not interested in second place whatever a few others would take.  How many points clear will we be in 3 games.

Team wins 7 out of 7,

Draw the 8th

And they're now 'feeling the pinch'

Wow.

Exactly, it's like the people who still claim Spurs 'bottled' the Premier League in 2015/16. They failed to win any of their final four, but were never in a strong position to actually win the league and did very well in the second half of the season to at least put pressure on Leicester.

A poor display against Derby after 7 impressive results and performances indicative of fall of in form.  Could be the end of the dream for Barnsley will see tomorrow if Tykes falling off and contenders are all losing form at a vital time.  Latest results will be interesting  Barnsley have one of the uppermost teams to play.

Honestly quite like them, hopefuly they at least make the playoffs. Would not mind seeing Barnsley make it back to the top after so long away from it

I'd love them to go up. We need 3 teams for the relegation places and that would be one spoken for

I guess not fortunate for the chasers they started this run too late to trouble automatic.  The only team in the form that could concern us.

Last game of the season looks dangerous

Should be home and dry by then.

Barnsley's dreadful run of form continues...

Good header from Carlton Morris to win it. Pleased for the lad.
