Last thing Ipswich won was the play-off final in '99-'00 season.

The '99-'00 season doesn't seem that long ago to me but the same period back again  will take you to the '78-'79 season.

Did you know that Marcus Evans recently sent George Burley an electricity bill for £20k

George phoned him and asked why he had been sent the bill as he left the club 20 years ago.

I know said Marcus, but you left light on in the trophy room.

Fun fact . The Binners won at the old Wembley - long since knocked down.

The team thy beat to win the UEFA cup - then AZ 67 now AZ Alkmar played their home leg in a stadium which is also long gone .

The Binners glorious history involves playing in stadiums that have been demolished, against teams that don’t exist (AZ 67) and from Countries that no longer exist either (they beat a Czechoslovakian team in 1981)

I’d rather have the nice colour photos above that kids  can equate to than the grainy old pics of Trevor Whymark.

According to their forum, they want to play us for promotion to the championship:

Quote

Completely hypothetical but...

If we give PC a few games to implement his ideas, would you take a game at the end of the season at Portman Road vs Norwich, winner takes all.

By that, I mean that if we win, both clubs start next season in the Championship. If they win, they go up, we stay in l1. If it is a draw it is the status quo which is probably them going up and us staying put.

I appreciate it’s a bit of nonsense but the press seem to be noshing them off and I think with a few fans back in the ground we could *could* beat them. They’re not that great, as last year proved.

I saw that. Amusing, very.

A new manager and a point at home to mighty Lincoln  and they are already fantasising.

Suddenly its the 'Daily Norwich' again.

This was the best comment in that thread (so far.):

"They’re wholly reliant on Pukki and Buendia, who are below average Premier League players at best hence they fell apart in 19/20."

Childish? Churlish? Take your pick.

They really do know jack sh*t about us, don't they?

We are on a completely different playing field to them. So much so, they're irrelevant.

It would be double figures before we brought the U23’s on at half time.

I presume they would be swapping places with the U18s.

Yes, but in all fairness Bill it’s the same trophy over and over again. Where’s the achievement in that? A bit like dating your own wife. Surely a proper club would have a range of trophies to brag about? Just asking for a friend....

Championship, L1, FA Youth Cup, Play off, Runners Up................seems quite a range to me 😍

and the OP was a handy cut and paste refute to whining farmhands, and their bleats about trophies

The problem lays firmly on your shoulders as everything is fine when you are not around as was seen by your most recent sabbatical.
