So we can pronounce Spanish, Polish and Greek names well but have problems with an English one.😀

I’ve had two friends called Aaron, one insisted it was pronounced air-on, the other reckoned that was ‘poncey’ (his word) so I guess it’s each to their own.  As a surname it maybe makes more difference.

Some people also struggled with Thomas Helveg as in Danish it is pronounced Hel-vay. I won't comment on Hughton/Houghton......

The commentators saying ‘Hoolahun’ always really irritated me. How hard is it to learn the pronunciation of someone’s name!

Though it’s taken us about 3 years to find out it’s Airons, maybe it is Hoolahun

Well, I think it's safe to say that we all owe Greg Downes an apology 😁

I certainly owe the commentator from Wednesday's game an apology. He'd obviously done his homework 🙂

I know the Truth from my childhood scripture:

 The Lord said unto Moses

The world shall have long noses

 All except Aaron

And he’ll have a square’ un.

Don't say that. Theres two or three on here will blame Socialist Delia for employing members of the Young Commyunist League.
