The day “Why aren’t we Brentford” died

And to think all of those Lilly Livers on this forum who conceded the title to them 3 weeks ago

...incredibly ordinary, they'll probably finish 4th

Solid performance, one foot in the prem. I really hope Brentford join us though, I like the way the club does its business

We made Brentford look a bit average, we were that good. Brentford barely had a sniff because we didn't let them.

Ivan Toney totally out muscled by Gibson and Hanley and I lost count of the nirumber of misplaced passes.

Had we played as ineffectively as that this forum would be in meltdown.

You lot are so naive and lacking ambition, Man City with their crappy little ground in the third division in 99 and now look at them.......

Why aren’t we Man City! Nothing less will do!

Out of likes, GJL, but yep, totally agree with all of that. I thought Brentford looked like a very ordinary team but one who do at least play football the right way. They are nothing to write home about whatsoever though, and I still reckon Watford will overtake them to clinch 2nd place.

That defensive display of ours today must give the nay sayers hope for next season  - well, at least if we can keep Skipp.🤔

For all the hype about Brentford and whilst acknowledging how well they have done this and other recent seasons, they only seemed to come alive in the last few minutes. The Canos miss was hugely important and once we scored Brentford rarely threatened thereafter and the boy Toney was barely visible. Still, it would be a great trip next season to their new ground and I would much rather they went up  than Watford who always have ideas above their station.

Norwich, Bretford and Swansea would do nicely.

This so called Super Team are back in the pack now so anything could happen.

They've now lost 4 games out of the last 6.

I can see them missing out again.

My money is on Swansea and, on the basis that some team always comes late, Barnsley

Do they still already deserve to win the league?

No, but I would argue they deserve promotion.

Why do they deserve promotion before they've achieved promotion?

Why did they deserve winning the league when we were top? Why, therefore, didn't we?
