Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful.....

Recommended Posts

Three dreadfuls..........no I mean three points - and that's all that matters......

....but I think some of them need a day off or two to recharge their batteries - some very jaded looking players out there tonight, no surprise after the run of games we've had.

Just as well there are five days to the next match!

I mean, you play an unchanged 11 for three plus matches in a row and the players are bound to be tired.

So tired that they played a lot better in the second half than the first. 🙂

People are aware that the Championship is fairly competitive right? Also the fact it wasn't our best performance, but away from home on a cabbage patch ground out what was a comfortable win in the end?

Genuinely not sure what people expect, especially given the horrendous conditions tonight? We're never going to blow teams away every week, but Swansea aside, have never really looked like losing in recent games.

Were we watching the same game? When we get outplayed at certain stages of the game are we really reaching for the “they were tired” excuse?

Give Birmingham credit, they played well. Overall though we were the better, more clinical side and deserved the win.

I thought after 70 mins it was Birmingham who looked tired.

BTW

Does anyone ever celebrate a win anymore?

That's four wins on the bounce

67 points from 32 games (Have we ever had that many before?)

If only we could go, enjoy the wins and then celebrate.

Well I'm going to celebrate wildly by having my tea and then doing some ironing. 🙂

Totally agree. Scoring 10 goals whilst conceding 2 having come off the back of an alleged "wobble" is pretty damn impressive.

The pitch was awful and God knows what it's going to be like with two teams playing on it twice a week. Glad we've gotten Coventry and Birmingham out of the way.

I'm a bit foxed by the OP's description. Far from our best but very far indeed from "dreadful". They struggled a bit with the awful pitch, but basically ran the show in the second half.

The 3 teams below us collectively average less than 6 points out of every 9. Chances are someone is dropping points tomorrow and that's ultimately all that matters.

OK I'm sure you can hold your tea big man, but the ironing is just showing off!

A shambles of a game. But both teams looked very tired. Brum completely knackered second half. Once again pitch did not really cut up. Been heavily rolled and threadbare and the main problem looked to be the unpredictable bounce.

I am one who thinks Pukki  is a bit off the pace. But his first goal seemed to be in the net before he had barely received it.

Don't think fatigue was an issue, we were better later in the game.

Birmingham pressed really well on an awful pitch.

Love a water cracker! But I'm still ploughing through a massive bowl of ice cream with a few Biscoff🙃
