Our Next Event - March 11th - 7:30pm - It's free

Recommended Posts

It’s been a tough year or so for everybody, life had plenty of challenges before COVID-19 came along and exacerbated them, being well into our third lockdown, our mental health has never been more important.

One in four people will experience a mental health problem in any year and over 10% of the population have depression at any one time.

On the 11th March we are holding a Mental Health Awareness evening via Zoom, hosted by Michael Bailey.

Guests include Mental Health Advocate, City fan and former MP Sir Norman Lamb, former Norwich City footballer Cedric Anselin, Norwich City FP & YDP Player Care Manager Carys Dalton and NCFC academy player Mental Health Ambassador Jon McCracken.

Despite the glamour of the game we all adore, mental health is still a silent threat to those we idolise every weekend, with the stigma still intact.

The social club has also invited around 15 mental health professional groups and charities to be part of this event and a spokesman for each group will have time to explain the services they offer to help people.

Please register for your free ticket here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/norwich-city-fans-social-mental-health-evening-tickets-141366337521

Reserved mine too, and looking forward to it. Haven't done any of the previous mental health ones so keen to partake.

Thanks again to the organisers. No sooner does one event conclude than the next one pops up.

Thanks Lincsy, Lakey & Fifty for booking.

Pretty overwhelmed at the response tbh both from people booking and from the  mental health groups that we have also invited.

This has taken weeks of organising so it's great so many are supporting it.

The response to this event has been phenomenal, lots of hard work & time has gone into organising this one, but we know what these mental health nights mean to people so we will keep working hard and repeating them regularly.
So far just over 100 people have booked their free tickets and over 17 mental health groups have confirmed they will be attending.
Proud , pleased and truly honoured at the support shown

We ended up with 140 booked and 17 mental health groups representatives so even if we get 20 odd no shows as you  sometimes do with free tickets, it ll  still be a massive turnout. If we help just one person, it will all have been worthwhile.

Zoom links will be sent out in batches from 7 to 7:15pm , if its not in your inbox check your spam/ junk boxes as they sometimes end up there.

Any queries re zoom link email Emma at csf.fundraising@norwichcitycsf.org.uk and she will sort you out.

Just come off this webinar, and wanted to say thanks to all involved for organizing   yet another great evening.

So proud to a NCFC supporter, and seeing  what they do in the community.

Some great organisations out there offering various types of help etc, For those that couldnt make it,  the excellent Michael Bailey advised that they will all have their details on the CSF web page.

Do check it out.

Thanks again to the FSC team ,and all involved.
