CANARYKING 707 Posted February 20, 2021 It not just the 90 minutes, it’s the day before, worrying about injuries, arguing about team selection. Then meeting up with friends before the game, walking to the stadium and once inside a cup of crappy coffee. Up to the terrace and that first sight of the green turf, it’s something special . Take your seat and say hello to the fans around, no idea of their names or where they come from. The 90 or so minutes fly by, some you win, some you lose, it does matter as much as it used to but the sheer joy of the ball hitting the back of the net is something you can’t explain. Then the journey home, either moaning or smiling, then the next day down the pub reliving it all again Been doing this for over 60 years, God I miss it.
