Are our other players not creative enough, or do we deliberately focus our play through Buendia? Surely it can't really be as simple as stop Emi and you therefore stop Norwich? Making Plans 957 Posted February 7, 2021 (edited) All that is fine but it doesn't take into account the total number of goals scored. By definition, assists only count as assists when a goal is scored. As Brentford have scored 17 more goals than us it follows that overall they would have had 17 more assists. If we had converted more chances then we would have had more assists and it is probable that we too could have more than one player on the assists list.
