Greavsy 2,412 Posted February 4, 2021 https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2021/february/how-to-watch-swansea-city-v-norwich-city2/ The game is on sky, but not on IFOLLOW tomorrow. Note sure what the criteria is for our away games these days

Number9 272 Posted February 4, 2021 If it's on sky, at least it'll be more than one camera used. Ifollow is so far behind it's ridiculous.
Greavsy 2,412 Posted February 4, 2021 Not everyone has Sky! So ifollow being behind & one camera is better than nothing.
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted February 4, 2021 So if you don't have SKY and its not on iFollow then . . . Cough, cough, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Not for me KG, but each to their own. As I've said previously, I personally aren't overly enjoying what we are being given atm, (overall not norwich performances) and also feel a lot of overload of matches atm so won't be doing seeking ways to watch. As Norwich are my team though, I will watch on the wireless.

The Bristol Nest 513 Posted February 5, 2021 I have sky. Others can watch it on a stream. There are many but it is illegal, immoral and rude apparently. I am sure that those who feel strongest about this have never watched pornography on their devices . 🙂
ZLF 271 Posted February 5, 2021 The proposition does get confusing but as a season ticket holder and lockdown sky subscriber it does make things a little easier. Not being on ifollow for lives games seems the norm now, probably due to boost NowTV sales. With precious little else on my tv football watching has never been higher, even if too many of the games have been dire. I have started using Fanslide app (in usual app stores) to help with the worst non Norwich games, its a live fantsay football game broken into 20min segments has has given some interest. Not on commision but it has helped me through some dark lockdown weeks and even grimmer games..
king canary 7,580 Posted February 5, 2021 I do wonder when this attitude of entitlement to watching every single game for free set in.

king canary 7,580 Posted February 5, 2021 Just now, hogesar said: Did it start with lockdown? I don't think so but that has certainly accelerated it, or brought certain attitudes into the open I guess. There is no game we have played this season that you couldn't have watched legally, either with iFollow or NowTV passes, so really it is the 'free' part of the entitlement that has highlighted. Foxy2600 297 Posted February 5, 2021 No it’s the fact I pay £157 p/a for BBC which has no live sport of any description on it apart from a few odd FAC games etc. I paid for NOW tv when we got it for 10 months £190. I saw 5 Norwich games. Is it any wonder some fans, who may have lost their job, or be some other kind of difficulties revert to watching said ‘stream’

Did the BBC promise you some live Norwich games before you paid your license?
AJ 1,218 Posted February 5, 2021 It is sort of relevant; why do we have to pay the BBC in order to watch live TV on Sky? It's such a backwards system... As Foxy said, those people who are having to pay the Beeb £157pa could spent it on Sky TV instead so they can watch the games
Fuzzar 1,702 Posted February 5, 2021 The BBC is ridiculously good value, considering its enormous and varied output.
Greavsy 2,412 Posted February 5, 2021 Just at a local level, the bbc provides commentary for every norwich game, home and away, so can't ask for better coverage of your team than that. The licence fee is excellent value compared to other platform charges, but you aren't comparing like with like I'm afraid.

It's no different to saying if he sold his car he could pay for Sky TV instead of driving to places.
Greavsy 2,412 Posted February 5, 2021 £157 to sky wouldn't last long, certainly not an entire season.

Except you can’t access the BBC commentary through the BBC if you don’t live in the area-at least I’ve never been able to, living in Watford and then The Wirral. Commonsense 618 Posted February 5, 2021 No, but as has been clearly stated on here several times, you can buy a one match pass on Now to watch on Sky.It costs no more than I-follow and has the advantage of commentary unlike Tuesday night’s game

Fair point Mr A, I did say local level, and am aware due to broadcasting restrictions you can't pick up commentaries over the Internet radio feed.

keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted February 5, 2021 Well, looks like I stirred it up. The indignant stance is OTT because people do not know other peoples circumstances. And nobody is robbing the club by watching an "illegal" stream. Nobody ever borrowed a DVD, CD or book. Never taped someone elses album? The iFollow money is an extra. I had it two seasons ago. It was a fiver. Then in the Prem we didn't get it because the club was getting TV money. This season its a tenner. Wait for the moans when they double the price of electricity and gas, petrol or diesel, beer or KFC. Please don't confuse the fact that we have nice majority shareholders with the fact that they and their staff would like you to give them as much of your money as they can. And they didn't impress me with their attitude during the first lockdown. So who is being robbed? I'm not here to argue with anybody about their morals or attitudes. But it would take a lot to convince me about the moral argument with club but admit watching on internet sites is illegal. So is exceeding the speed limit as one example. By the way, I have SKY, Netflix, Kodi. So nothing illegal tonight.
Greavsy 2,412 Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) So by your argument KG - If you are short of cash / income its ok to stream & break the speed limit? Can I quote you in court? 😉 Borrowing DVDs is one thing, but advertising various illegal streams on here is move like copying and distributing said copies. i doubt any on here have done that.
