king canary 7,580 Posted December 26, 2020 Frustrating game but a loss away to Watford is no embarrassment. Would like to see Xavi back in next week to give us a proper leftback and either Rupp or Sorenson in next to Skipp.

Ken Hairy 3,760 Posted December 26, 2020 Oh well, terrible performance but can't win them all, put it to bed and move on to QPR 🤷♂️
hogesar 9,618 Posted December 26, 2020 Going to leave this thread before the typical over-the-top criticism starts. Oh wait its started. Narrowly lost against the best home team in the league after a fantastic run. Pleased with Farkes changes - but Watford defended well as they have all season. shefcanary 2,389 Posted December 26, 2020 They celebrated like they'd got promoted. Says it all. Just a setback. We'll bounce back.
Adycakes 5 Posted December 26, 2020 What is it about Watford, every time they are in a poor run of form / going nowhere along we come to pick them up. Had a feeling we’d lose tonight, but there is still so much to play for.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted December 26, 2020 lacklustre and a bit complacent. Watford did a number on us there. Time to get Krul and Gibson back into that defence I think and Rupp back in the middle. Probably our toughest game on paper we had remaining though, plenty of worse places to be in the league

Banjoman 38 Posted December 26, 2020 Off day for everyone tonight. Noticeable how much we tried to use Max but he just wasn't on it either, all the way from the goal to taking it off Pukki in the box in the last minute. Guess it happens sometime. Annoying to be against Watford, who I really dislike.

That wasn't an awful cross by Josh Martin, keeper would probably have still got it but we had 3 players there who didn't move an inch and you can always try and force the error / cause a defender to ignore keepers shout and panic. Hugill in particular frustrating for never just attacking the ball even when its 25/75 its worth jump.... saw Holt comparisons when he signed, doesn't appear to have that sort of hunger at all. He's the new Marley Watkins. zonal attacking ?
nutty nigel 7,513 Posted December 26, 2020 Watford win goals 1-0 Watford win fouls 18-7 Watford win yellow cards 4-0 Stuff em! We will in the return👍

Ramrod 258 Posted December 26, 2020 It was like a Premier League game and I hated it. Norwich looked hungover. Buendia worked his socks off, Skipp my motm.
canarydan23 4,060 Posted December 26, 2020 Not too disheartened by that. Watford away is arguably the toughest match on the calendar. We only lost by 1 goal despite the fact they had the ref doing everything he could to help Watford out.
All the Germans 1,075 Posted December 26, 2020 Watford defend very well. We barely had a chance. No disgrace to lose to them but we did deservedly lose tonight. You can't win them all.

cambridgeshire canary 6,680 Posted December 26, 2020 (edited) Should have been a draw, but end of the day a 1-0 loss away from home to a team that was in the prem last season while we played poorly and off the beat isnt really that bad. Onto a 6 nill win against QPR Edited December 26, 2020 by cambridgeshire canary
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,738 Posted December 26, 2020 Still think we're 5 players away from our strongest team Krul,Quntilla(or Byram) Gibson Rupp Hernandez....for McGovern Sorensen Zimmerman McClean and probably Dowell.....hopefully we're only a couple of weeks away from that
Il Pirata 249 Posted December 26, 2020 Long way to go. A timely wake up call to avoid complacency perhaps. Nothing really in it between Norwich, Swansea, Watford, Bournemouth and Brentford.

Watford look like most teams in the Premier League, which suggests we'll have the exact same problems next season if we go up than we did last season in that league. City 2nd 191 Posted December 26, 2020 For all the plaudits being given pre kick off about how good the team was and the strength on the bench that was a p*** poor team performance all round. Too many of that squad had too much turkey methinks. Watford are not a brilliant side at all and we gifted them the result. Perhss Mr Farke will now realise that mere possession does not win you matches. There has to be an end result!
Yellow Fever 3,749 Posted December 26, 2020 I think we've had too much Christmas pudding. Better with Vrancic.
K Lo 221 Posted December 26, 2020 Very frustrating. Watford yet another team of lanky, fouling hoofball specialists that Norwich struggle against.
rock bus 850 Posted December 26, 2020 Really over the top reactions on here. not at our best but still very competitive against a very good Watford team. disappointed to lose but we can and will play better. that’s exactly the type of game where it would’ve been great to throw the pace of Hernandez or Placheta on. take it on the chin and move on to the next one!
