*****Official Match Thread v Watford*****

Recommended Posts

Frustrating game but a loss away to Watford is no embarrassment.

Would like to see Xavi back in next week to give us a proper leftback and either Rupp or Sorenson in next to Skipp.

Not one player has played to potential. Aarons has been disappointing all night

I love Aarons, but I have to agree. To put it into perspective he is only 20 and he wasn’t bad, just wasn’t great

Going to leave this thread before the typical over-the-top criticism starts.

Oh wait its started.

Narrowly lost against the best home team in the league after a fantastic run.

Pleased with Farkes changes - but Watford defended well as they have all season.

What is it about Watford, every time they are in a poor run of form / going nowhere along we come to pick them up.

Had a feeling we’d lose tonight, but there is still so much to play for.

lacklustre and a bit complacent. Watford did a number on us there. Time to get Krul and Gibson back into that defence I think and Rupp back in the middle.

Probably our toughest game on paper we had remaining though, plenty of worse places to be in the league

I love Aarons, he's probably our best player (maybe Krul?) and easily our most valu, but let's call a spade a spade, he was awful tonight.

Off day for everyone tonight. Noticeable how much we tried to use Max but he just wasn't on it either, all the way from the goal to taking it off Pukki in the box in the last minute.

Guess it happens sometime. Annoying to be against Watford, who I really dislike.

Why do we  NEVER attack crosses. That wasn't an awful cross by Josh Martin, keeper would probably have still got it but we had 3 players there who didn't move an inch and you can always try and force the error / cause a defender to ignore keepers shout and panic.

Hugill in particular frustrating for never just attacking the ball even when its 25/75 its worth jump.... saw Holt comparisons when he signed, doesn't appear to have that sort of hunger at all. He's the new Marley Watkins.

zonal attacking ?

It was like a Premier League game and I hated it.

Norwich looked hungover. Buendia worked his socks off,  Skipp my motm.

Not too disheartened by that. Watford away is arguably the toughest match on the calendar. We only lost by 1 goal despite the fact they had the ref doing everything he could to help Watford out.

He just needs to beat his player once.

Should have been a draw, but end of the day a 1-0 loss away from home to a team that was in the prem last season while we played poorly and off the beat isnt really that bad.

Onto a 6 nill win against QPR

Still think we're 5 players away from our strongest team   Krul,Quntilla(or Byram) Gibson Rupp Hernandez....for  McGovern Sorensen Zimmerman McClean and probably Dowell.....hopefully we're only a couple of weeks away from that

Long way to go. A timely wake up call to avoid complacency perhaps.

Nothing really in it between Norwich, Swansea, Watford, Bournemouth and Brentford.

All too slow, never looked strong enough in the muscle department.

And that is our problem when it comes to Premier League sides.

Watford look like most teams in the Premier League, which suggests we'll have the exact same problems next season if we go up than we did last season in that league.

For all the plaudits being given pre kick off about how good the team was and the strength on the bench that was a p*** poor team performance all round.

Too many of that squad had too much turkey methinks. Watford are not a brilliant side at all and we gifted them the result.

Perhss Mr Farke will now realise that mere possession does not win you matches. There has to be an end result!

Very frustrating.
Watford yet another team of lanky, fouling hoofball specialists that Norwich struggle against.

Really over the top reactions on here.

not at our best but still very competitive against a very good Watford team.

disappointed to lose but we can and will play better.

that’s exactly the type of game where it would’ve been great to throw the pace of Hernandez or Placheta on.

take it on the chin and move on to the next one!

I think the fact we've won more games than any other team in the division suggests Farke knows this already...

I think we've had too much Christmas pudding.

Better with Vrancic.

We usually always are.
