Boxing Day quiz

Recommended Posts

Both posters so far know the answer.

However, for the 50 viewers who have so far failed to post an answer, the game was one of 10 games played in the football league Division One on Boxing Day that produced a total of 66 goals.

Through hermans post I got it. I won't post the answer, but it was a game full of goals. I think most now know who the big losers were.

I make it 66 goals MP.

Sorry, my mistake, 66 it was. (original post ammended)

So that's 11 goals from that missing match and one of the 2 teams involved managed to score just the 1.

Match report said - "They were woeful and had conceded 58 times prior to the Boxing Day clash. They finished the season bottom, shipping 121 goals in the process.

Indeed, the supporters of that Club are immensley proud of their ancient history, in fact they talk of little else, but somehow I've never heard them mention any of this.
