I like the bench.

Bit disappointed to see Mario on there.

Readings two better forwards and first choice RB are out as rumoured, one fan describing their team tonight as 'a decent Championship side with a corpse up front'.

How confident would Reading feel if Pukki, Aarons and I guess Hugill(?) Were out?

I prefer those who will be sitting on it 🥰

Otherwise most predictions earlier were right about McLean replacing Tettey, but did have Cantwell starting rather than James

Would prefer Steiperman to start then bring on Vrancic with the rapier sword (left food) to provide the coo de grass

Makes perfect sense. Protect Vrancic's legs a bit, get McLean some game time and get him match fit. Tettey's there to shore up the midfield if we need it late on.

Big chance to open a gap tonight. But whatever happens we will be up there and challenging with a window not a month away.

I know we have extra options in the form of players returning but I wonder if we will also dabble in the January market for a couple or so additions (2 back up defenders plus additional striker) to push us 'over the line'?

God, Stiepermann back in the 11? Surely his last chance with Dowell looking close to fitness.

Not sure how true this is, but a mate text me the following stats.

In the last four games;

Stiepermann has been on the pitch for 253 minutes. We have scored 2 and conceded 5.

He has been off the pitch for 126 minutes. We have scored 5 and conceded 1.

We looked immediately better it has to be said the second he was subbed recently but we must hope he plays a blinder tonight (like against Bristol City)...he also knows Teemu's game, his movements.

Don't forget he also saved a certain goal on the line early in versus Sheff Wed.

Yes pretty much tries to that’s why he looses the ball so much! 😉

Why the Stiepermann bashing? I don’t get it. Every player has a bad game here and there, that’s football. Stiepermann has done a lot for this club and still has plenty to offer.

Cool Stats. I enjoy a strange  love/ hate relationship with the clunky German. If I start a game thinking steeps! Ffs ! He plays one of his good games, which , by the time the next game comes , I think, steeps!Good!, causes probs with his unorthodox style and he and pukki play well together and then he plays like he cant play.

I actually think Steipermann has one of the best understandings with Pukki, only second to Buendia. Hope Kenny has a blinder, I guess they needed to give Mario a rest and wanted a little more aerial dominance in the middle.
