Still Top!

Recommended Posts

Weird division, top, but only a couple of points off 8th.  It’s particularly annoying as a win tonight would have seen us go 4 clear.

Tbh I’ve never really known us to be pace setters, so I’m not too concerned that we don’t have that pressure!

Missed opportunity but also got away with it

Could have been worse

Could have been a lot better, too - awful ref, their penalty was a dreadful decision.  At 2-1 I think we might well have got a draw out of it, but 3-1 was never going to happen.

One of those nights.   Some dodgy reffing decisions (Farke was furious with ref at end of match).  They really had a lift from fans.  Let's hope for same on Saturday.

Still top with key players to return but we simply have to strengthen in January.

An unprecedented congested season and we'll need more quality.

Just hope we don't choke under the expectation.

They certainly did

Won't do anything until Krul is back. You can see the defence don't have confidence in him.

Massive wasted opportunity mind.

You would think being top and facing Coventry and Luton would be a good thing.

... Footballs a funny old game and that.

6 points wasted sadly.

Agreed, was a great chance to make some daylight between us and the rest, still so close, 4 points between us and 10th.

Totally outplayed, far too slow, constantly giving the ball way, every time we had the ball they had everyone back. Sorry Placheta is not good enough

Placheta is a decent winger.

He just panics as soon as he gets near the box.

Yeah still top which is testament to how consistent we have been. Watford couldn't win tonight and of course Bournemouth lost last night.

Wasn't a huge amount in the game tonight but Luton just edged it. Not surprising when you're missing 10 genuine first team players.

I'm happy one of our loses will not be against a promotion contender and helps a new team fight relegation. With our injuries with constant games something had to give.

You still get my point. A draw against Coventry isn't the best result. 1 point against two teams that will be near the bottom of the table for most of the season is far from ideal and the fact we could have had 6 points which by the end of the season 6 points could be the difference between us making the playoffs and automatics at the end of the season is rather irritating

Agree.

If we can just hang in there in the top six for a few weeks until some of our regulars are fit again we can’t complain too much.
