How do we remain top?

Recommended Posts

With great difficulty, it would seem.

How do you wrap Pukki in cotton wool, yet flog him to death as the only (fingers crossed) fit striker?

After eleven matches, Saturday’s lineup consisted of just four players who had scored this season, all of whom had each scored a single, solitary goal.

It is clearly Krul and the defensive unit that has propelled us to the top, and are seemingly key to keeping us up there.

The January transfer window has to bring us proven goal scorers, a department we are so lacking.

Only two teams have conceded less than us this season. We are more solid because of Skipp and Rupp. The defence has better cover.

Unfortunately, it is harder to get support to Pukki by keeping solid. While we don't concede, we are in with a shout of something from every game.

It isn't 18/19 attacking and conceding. So it isn't as exciting or nail biting. But in some ways its better. We look like we will thump somebody sometime soon. We are creating chances and thats the most important.

The striker problem does seem unnecessary. I think you should always four to pick from.

The injury situation is bad but the transfer window is only round the corner. We’ll be fine

9 matches until the new year after tonight. I'm hopeful we get 3 or 4 players back in December.
