Odd, front page doesnt have a single topic relating to Drmic or Leitner. How very strange. Either way please discuss the topic at hand or don't post in the thread, simple as.

Thank you. Seriously however, a few people yesterday were indeed talking about the subject but at the time we did not yet have an offical answer and so there was speculation abound. Now we have the answer I bealive it is worth knowing and discussing.

Farke was just confirming what anyone with half a brain knew already - that the two players concerned are not part of our future.

Should have been obvious when they were not given squad numbers but hey ho speculation always does make for 'fun' discussion it would seem.

conspiracies always more enjoyable to discuss than the truth as it were.

Understand that but this an emergency and those two are still contracted and paid by the club. We have 10 games until January and only 15 fit first team players. Can't Farke swallow a bit of pride to enable us to get out of this mess ?

Thrilling.

Maybe you should make a thread about it? Only if it's Heinz mind.

He also has pointed out neither of them have trained with any of the current squad this season nor met any of our new players.

Not sure it's about Pride Six Packo, it's probably more about how DF wants the Club to run.  His decisions, his way or the highway.  I suspect that despite his soft spoken manner , he is a fierce  disciplinarian, no need to throw tea cups and kick boots a la SAF. Just steely determination to do things his way.

Well, he did pretty much say that if Hugill was out longer he'd have considered Drmic.

But he had an unbelievably unlucky last season, many injuries and then he came back more or less with his first appearance in the starting line-up, I think there were five appearances after lockdown, and he was not really able to use his chance.

“We lost all the games when he was in the starting line-up and he got lots of hits from many people, from the press, from supporters. We are not searching for excuses, he also played his part with his red card (against Burnley) and things like this.

“For me he was always a top class striker and a good guy but we made the decision in the summer that we need a fresh start and that we wanted to bring in some fresh legs and fresh energy, some positive changes and we decided to back Adam Idah and bring Jordan Hugill in.”

Translation...I thought he could do a job for us, he's  had his chance  , I was patient but he didnt step up. Now I move on to more motivated players but with a less glorious history.  Next please.

Velvet glove  , iron fist.

Indeed, at this stage the only way we are getting to see Drmic again is if Pukki ends up out injured for months.

And god forbid that happens.

Might sounds harsh but it is fair. Drmic had a ton of expectations given his somewhat high calibre and all and just did not manage to fill them. Shame really,  as he is a decent striker.

I know the reasoning ! He'd drop Maradona if he questioned him !

I think he needs to good kick up the **** ! Better still - miss his **** and go straight for whats between his legs !

So it basically confirms that neither player will return if possible, but Daniel doesn’t actually categorically 100% state that there’s no chance Josip will pull on the shirt again, it’s just something that they’re not considering right t this point - BUT if Jordan was out longer than 3 weeks and Teemu got injured then that picture may change. Interesting.

He does appear to have inclusion issues by the sheer amount of threads he starts a week

By the looks of it , so do you. All this non anti club posting is a thinly veiled attempt at reintegration....into the human race. It won't last.  You cant help yourself. I give it a week before you resume trying to undermine our club. Now I've said that, you'll  either resume Immediately  or leave it two weeks. Cretin.

Two threads in a week. lord help me, I'm addicted. I need help. Quick, someone send me to rehab.

On the plus side however at least some of my posts are positive, if only I could gain the energy to be as forever negative and club hating as you are then we would all have issues.

I’m no Cambridgeshire Outer but this post does explain loads! . Many of us read what’s in other people’s  threads (at least some threads, if  not all), whereas for you if it’s not in the title, or in your own thread, then it never gets read. So long as everyone can understand your different style of using the board, its horses for courses & strokes for folks

That said , new topics do draw attention to key new stuff so thanks for this one for example.

In the meantime, he said hes not matchfit and doesnt know the players, wouldnt it be a good idea to get him back training with them for the next few weeks in case he is needed ?

Need to stat hanging out in the bushes with a binocular Bielsa Derby style to see who turns up to training 😉

It is interesting though, if he had any real intention of them playing again then I'm sure we will start seeing them hanging around the training ground.

Yeah, that's fair comment. The amount of new threads @cambridgeshire canary starts is verging on ridiculous, but it's just his style... I can live with it I guess 😉

I think 2 threads in a week is being somewhat, shall we say, ‘economical with the truth’, Cambridge 😉

I totally understand that logic, I would imagine whilst he’s still under contract he must be at a decent level of fitness, it’s just match sharpness he’s probably missing more than anything. I guess where do you stop though? Do we bring in Josip and then bring in another to start training just incase Josip gets injured too?

Being short of strikers and having one we won’t play is at best stupid

whilst we are paying his wages we should have him available if needed

delia out , stinking rich Saudi owner in

I don't think that's really the point (although it's likely connected). He obviously feels bringing them in would be more detrimental to what he's building long term - whether that's because of their attitude / problems or because it would weaken Farke's position with the rest of the squad is up for debate.

If we do get 'stinking rich saudi owners' in will you at least agree to sing the following during matches?

no, I'd just like to have at least one fit and able backup for Teemu going into this congested fixture run.  Give us a chance to rest him when we are winning etc.
