Lord have mercy on us all All political leaders have to be on board with the views of the party they represent. History would have suggested Biden personally would have been worse for us on the Ireland score post-Brexit, but actually things don't seem too bad between us and the US. Old or not, he's a quality statesman. As for Harris, she's a VP. If she became President it's most likely that fact would change her presentation somewhat like most before her have done; you can't just speak for yourself in that position. Foxy2600 350 Posted October 20, 2023 (edited) Not a single reference to President Biden's speech last night on the BBC - well I'm sure Gary cozying up to Greta or Smarmy grabbing a Tory seat, is far more important than the leader of the Free World. A Load of Squit 6,030 Posted October 20, 2023 The bloke who owns Truth Social is really going to annoy Donald Trump when Trump finds out about this. https://www.axios.com/2023/10/18/biden-truth-social-followers-trump By the numbers: Both follow counts on the campaigns' accounts were regularly increasing Biden's account, Biden-Harris HQ, had about 25,100 followers as of Wednesday afternoon. Trump's, Team Trump, had about 21,500.
A Load of Squit 6,030 Posted March 1 In the US Federal law on immigration overides state law, Biden was correct in stopping the Republicans undermining the Constitution. That's what he promised in his oath of office. In his order, Judge Ezra said that legal precedent affirms that "states may not exercise immigration enforcement power except as authorized by the federal government" and that SB4 "conflicts with key provisions of federal immigration law, to the detriment of the United States' foreign relations and treaty obligations". Additionally, the judge rejected Texas' claim that the state has authority to repel an "invasion" of the territory, saying that "surges in immigration do not constitute an 'invasion' within the meaning of the Constitution." "[To] allow Texas to permanently supersede federal directives on the basis of an invasion would amount to nullification of federal law and authority — a notion that is antithetical to the Constitution and has been unequivocally rejected by federal courts since the civil war," Mr Ezra wrote. Sheva 146 Posted June 12 Hunters done drugs, played around with guns, girls and lied but the bigger crime is what he did in Ukraine and how much his old man knew and helped facilitate. Any business done in Ukraine involves substantial amounts of financial corruption, it’s unavoidable.

If he's this bad in public what is he like behind the scenes? Who's really running things? Beacause I get the feeling Bidens not the one calling the shots anymore. And, even with possibly failing mental faculties, I’d still be happier with him than trump, which seems to be a sentiment held by a lot of Americans given voting intentions weren’t swayed that much by the debate. Just have to sit tight and hope for the best at this point.

KiwiScot 1,660 Posted July 10 (edited) Not quite God, but George Clooney just stuck the knife in “It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe Biden of 2010.He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate." You know it's serious when out come the Celebrities. Edited July 10 by KiwiScot
