Big positive from tonight, looks a pretty tidy player given he played out of position, clearly a talent there.

Good mentality as well. Debut game for new club after not featuring in some time, only finds out when someone gets crocked and he's playing out of position. In a brand new league. In a totally different country.

He did as well as could be expected under those conditions. Tells me he's got a calm approach and isn't easily ruffled.

Thrown into the deep end so to speak. Looked much more assured when he was the right sided CB in a back three.

Considering he’s out of position and not match sharp was very solid tonight, pleased for the lad.

Yeah I'll sign up to this - thought he was very good given all the aforementioned caveats. I'd like to see him in his favoured position.

Did ok but not sure I'd like to see him alongside Hanley as one of 2 CBs! Looks a bit lightweight for centre half, but may be a decent replacement for Skipp next season.

Did look rather uncomfortable at LB - understandably. But played some tidy passes as times.

He was much more settled when he was playing inbetween Hanley and Aarons towards the latter stages.

Overall we should probably have two specialist left backs available not one... not to mention another CB so we can switch to the 3-5-2 more regularly. I have missed that formation from Farke for when we are chasing a game!

And against one of the top attacking teams in the league .

Given that he's never played in that position and had no time to prepare his performance was nothing short of remarkable.

His interview after the game also indicates that he relishes the challenge and that is good to hear.

I hope he thrives at Norwich.

Very average. Got easily beaten by his winger which crossed for the Brentford goal. No guile, pace or passing skills for a midfielder and too easily knocked over when challenging for 50/50 balls as a defender. Not sure if he is what we need for a team going for promotion.

Um, he took the throw in so when Cantwell gave it away he wasn't even in position to be beaten. He also won several headers when the long throws were coming in. Concentrate now....

Could we please make him a replacement for Skipp this season?

Thought he did pretty well out of position snd in the second half when switched showed glimpses of what he could bring as a defensive midfielder with a few decent tackles to win the ball back.

Buffoon! You do realise we're talking about the Sorensen playing for Norwich not the Brentford one don't you? utterly ridiculous unsubstantiated comments typified by you claiming he was easily beaten for the Brentford goal. As Sgncfc pointed out he had taken the throw-in that Cantwell screwed up so couldn't possibly be responsible. Clearly not a Norwich fan.

Ps. Just completely unacceptable we have put ourselves in the position of having to play a midfielder at left back. A major error by Webber and not one you needed hindsight to identify either.

As well as Cantwell losing the ball in my view Hanley (again) the main culprit for their goal as he just completely left Toney unmarked. It wasn’t a difficult run to track nor should it have been a difficult cross the cut out but he just stopped.

Fair. Skipp needs a rest and is starting to give the ball away a lot now. But I think Tettey would be the natural replacement?

I thought he did well for a player playing out of position and with no preparation for that beforehand. Did even better in the second half when switched to the right and looked quite comfortable most of the time. Good performance imo.

I was going to say this, I think Skipp's not really pushed on since his strong start.

Clearly not a left back but that isn't his fault.

Will reserve judgement until he's playing in a position he's comfortable in.

Apart from that brain fart leading to the penalty (but if you're playing out of position in a position you've never played before, there will be errors in the decision-making), there's a lot to like. Technically sound, can clearly pick a progressive pass, not bad at picking off passes either.

He's probably going to be a very decent defensive midfielder for us if he's playing at this level when totally out of place. Can definitely see a good ball-playing centre-half in there too.
