For those FIFA 21 players... Help needed

Is it me or are the goalkeepers bloody awful? Defending  is nearly impossible and the goalkeeper concede most shots, especially near post.

I know this isn't strictly ncfc, but at a push I could make the link that both FIFA 21 and Norwich can't defend.

If anyone who plays has found anything like this or has a solution or tips to defend, be good to hear from you.

Oh, and before the forum police have a moan that this isn't a FIFA board it's a Norwich city board, I have titled it FIFA 21 players so you shouldn't have come on this thread if you don't want to engage in it.

Big Fifa 21 section on everything youd ever care to ask. It just has to be more help to you.

I think thats why people get annoyed FYI, because there is always a targetted discussion for everything online.

All forums specialise. You will get forum police here because its just a Norwich forum. You wont get someone policing a Fifa post on a Fifa forum.

Theres always a better place to go, for yourself and whatever you want to discuss, never mind everyone else.

Clearly theres every need for you to be a pr!ck about people helping each other.

Hey I am a currently division 1 player, I do have a good team though, goalkeepers height is very important on this 1 again, I am currently using 89 Courtois and he is a beast,  if out of budget I would recommend getting a goalkeeper at least 6"4. Formation I play 4 2 3 1 with CAMs not wide. You need to have two CDMS to play in the CDM positions, to many people stick midfielders there. If your really struggling with defending have both set to stay back while attacking. If not have 1 or neither, I personally have neither stay back but I am rocking Kante and Allan so both are very good. Full backs must be set to stay back while attacking.  All the cams don't change there player instructions bar the centre one who I would put to stay forward on defensive behaviour.  Your striker needs to be stay forward and get in behind. I would play your defensive depth at 3 and pressure on heavy touch, if your still struggling go to a depth of two, pace down the wings is very effective on this game. On attack and defensive set your width to 5 or 4 I personally have 5. Players for free kicks and corners set to 2 and players in the box I would have at four or 5. Hope this helps

I'm only division 3 on UT, but play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow. Agree Goalkeeper height is important.

I actually have areally narrow defensive width because I tend to find most people still can't cross properly.

Used to be my go to but better players were destroying me down the wings,  I heard the 41212 wide is good on this one but not tried it

There's always a massive jump between division 3 or 4 and 1 or 2 - maybe what you say is why i'll never be Division 1 hahaha

Quite right I could post on the FIFA forum, but they seem to be even more savage then some on here. But thank you for the help 

 

I'm playing CM after getting sick of it, and just defence and GK are awful still, even offline. Do you thinks just formation and height?

Also, do you guys seem to have cricket scores for games?

Use the Glove chem style, gives you plus 15 to handling (ultimate team of course)

 

Handling seems to be a big issue this year, goalies will save it by diving  but then drop the ball or just throw it rather than catch it, so only way to counter this is.. well, glove style chem style and goalies with high handling stat

 

Although even then they do tend to act like morons regardless

Do you realise that there are two types of defending systems that you can select between; "Tactical defending" and "Legacy defending"? I think tactical defending is the default setting but you can change it to legacy defending through "controller settings". I think you will find legacy defending the better option.
