On a more entertaining note Man City are tearing Leeds apart

Nope but to be fair to SW this has been the Norwich philosophy after every promotion under Smith and Wynn Jones. The whole "just happy to be there" notion.

Lambert promotion was a bit different, constantly saying that his players were good enough, can remember a journalist asking what it was like trying to manage in the Premier League without big names to which Lambert replied "they are all making a name for themselves, don't worry you'll know their names soon".

It was almost as if we literally tried to sabotage our winning mentality with all the expectation dampening. Talking down your chances becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Even now we hear them saying 'top six', what on earth would be wrong exactly with saying that with the talent we have we intend to challenge for the title.

Dislike Leeds with a passion but fair play to them ... they are making a fist of the Premier league so far. Shows what a bit of investment and ambition can do. Doubt they will finish top half but now way will they be bottom 3, and certainly now way will they be as feeble as we were ☹

Yes, they look way stronger, fitter and faster.  We often looked like men against boys.

Farke trained them hard, simply weren’t good enough.

1-1 great game to watch.

fair result.

Fair credit to Leeds, were torn apart in the first half and should really have been down 3 or 4 nill but they carried on and gained a very valuable scalp.

Not on what I am seeing. There are going to be a lot of teams below Leeds this season.

Again that will all depend on if they can get the luck and remain relatively injury free. If they were to pick up some long term injuries to key players, as we did, then the PL is ruthless and it will quickly turn sour. Irrelevant of what people remember now, we played some fantastic football last season with the most horrendous luck on injuries, we had to play an aging midfielder at centre back! We were atrocious after lockdown and for some games before but let’s not rewrite history and forget the many games we were very competitive in, and many games we were unfortunate to come away with nothing from

We were relegated before the season even started.

A great start for Leeds and they're making it look easy.

Realistically Man City already out of the title race, Guardiola must be under threat soon.

In some ways they are though, Leeds' starting eleven had Klich at 30, Ayling, Dallas, Cooper at 29, Alioski at 28 Bamford at 27 Costa at 26 Phillips, Koch at 24

We were regularly starting with Aarons, Lewis, Godfrey, Cantwell and Buendia

What's your score prediction?

Well this didn't go the way you thought did it.

Keep your gunpowder dry in future or you can look a bit silly.

No need to be smug when I have already given Leeds credit for turning it around.

You weren't giving them credit when you started the thread when they were losing were you.

Infact you were smugly gloating some might say?

Well if you're going to play that game you weren't anywhere to be seen on here for the best part of 15 years.
